Dinner @ Lenas OK Sep 05, 2013
Categories : Japanese | Desserts and Cakes | Pasta | Steaks and Grills

A normal restaurant located at Tampines 1 branch, we decided to have our dinner at Lenas for a change. For our mains we ordered pizza and carbonara. The pizza was so so, unless u really like pizzas with thin crusts. The toppings were nothing out of the ordinary. Being a fan of carbonaras, I felt that the Lenas's carbonara wasn't creamy enough, it kind of lacks the richness and creaminess of carbonaras from popular places like Waraku.

We had ice cream brownie in hotpan with almonds and it was rather good! smile Rich, luxurious melting chocolate combined with the creamy ice cream provides that soothing happy taste that you won't forget.

Recommended Dish(es):  Ice cream brownie in hotpan with almonds

Spending per head: Approximately $30(Dinner)

Hearty Meal @ Fish & Co Smile Sep 23, 2013

Categories : Restaurant | Seafood | Kids-Friendly

Just a normal dinner during weekdays when I am staying in my hostel (at the furthest end of Singapore mad ), where me and my boyfriend would decide to go to JP for dinner because we are so sick of canteen food. We headed for Fish & Co for a change from our usual eating places. I ordered a Baked Cod with Spicy Teriyaki Sauce with mashed potato and rice while he ordered a Swordfish Collar with mashed potato and fries. Both are equally good but I love the swordfish collar the most. Crisp and flavourful, it goes well with the spicy mango sauce! lol Those who haven't try pls do!

Recommended Dish(es):  swordfish collar

Spending per head: Approximately $20(Dinner)

Excellent Food @ The Line Smile Sep 23, 2013

Categories : Multi-Cuisine | Hotel | Seafood | Buffet

At The Line at Shangri-La Hotel, it is well-known for its buffet. With a wide variety of food ranging from seafood to asian delights to western to desserts. There's so many types of food that you can't really finish trying them all! And since it was a buffet I didn't really snap much pictures, just only those that I love.

Firstly, guess what? They serve lobsters that are large and very very fresh! Sweet and juicy just how I like it lol

And back to the dessert fanatic self, I took a pinch of almost all their desserts and they are very good! Especially all those in the tiny cups!

Do come and try The Line buffet, it is around $50 per pax (considered quite pricey but worth the money).

Recommended Dish(es):  Lobsters

Spending per head: Approximately $50(Lunch)

Favourites @ Pepper Lunch Smile Sep 23, 2013

Categories : American | Japanese | Restaurant | Pasta | Steaks and Grills

When I was working near Somerset 313 and was feeling down and exhausted with my never ending pile of work (especially on a Monday with monday blues), I would drop by Food Republic for my favourite Pepper Lunch for lunch. My regular order would be the curry chicken pepper lunch (with cheese) as I like my food spicy. The reason why I love the food at Pepper Lunch is because everything sizzles on the plate! With bite-size chicken pieces that gets cooked on the hot plate, piping hot rice with bits of seasame and curry powder on it and the melted cheese all over, it just warms your heart and makes you feel happy all over again. You can even add $1 for an extra egg to your meal! One of my favourite places! lol

Recommended Dish(es):  Curry chicken

Spending per head: Approximately $8(Lunch)

Chinese Food @ Imperial Treasure Smile Sep 22, 2013
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Cantonese/Hong Kong | Dim Sum

Had lunch at Imperial Treasure with the family. Imperial Treasure which is a relatively well-known chinese restaurant, that is similar to other chinese restaurants like Din Tai Fung. We went on a Sunday, which is quite crowded at the branch at Tampines 1. We ordered fried rice and prawn dumpling soup noodles to share between the 4 of us, together with red bean pancake as sides and Tang Yuan coated with sesame for dessert.

Fried rice was fragrant and nice, but the noodles were rather normal like any other chinese restaurants. We absolutely love their red bean pancake! Sweet yet savoury, but not a thing for the health-conscious people due to the large amount of oil that goes with it. The tang yuan was good too, a change from the usual tang yuan in soup style.
