QQ Noodles! Smile Sep 22, 2013

Categories : Malaysian | Noodles

Passed by this restaurant and decided to give it a try. Had the QQ fried noodles, the noodles really had the springy feeling and tasted very nice. The mixture of fried egg into the fried noodles gave the dish a very nice smell, and both tasted very well together. The meat was soft and tender, and the sotong tastes good with the dish too. My friend had the QQ noodles, which came with charsiew and dumpling. Although it looks plain, it actually tastes very yummy with some sesame oil taste. The charsiew slices are soft too, and the dumpling skin is not thick. Will come back to try the other noodles!

lol

Roasted Pumpkin with Macadamia Nuts Pizza

Roasted Pumpkin with Macadamia Nuts Pizza

The Roasted Pumpkin with Macadamia Nuts Pizza, topped with sun-dried tomatoes, rockets and honey mustard and a bit of sugar is vegetarian but amazing. The thin crust as the name of the restaurant suggest is crispy and crunchy just like a biscuit. This makes the pizza a very light and its good for people who are on a low-carb diet! Another popular pizza there is the Squid Ink Pizza. Skinny Pizza also serves pastas, salads, sides, and rich mouthwatering desserts! lol

Mini cheese cupcakes! Smile Sep 17, 2013

Passed by this little hideout along Arab Street. Cute mini cheese cupcakes looked really pretty and decided to buy two to try. I like the oreo cheese cupcake, the cupcake is soft and fluffy, and the sweet taste of the oreo complements the cheese taste. The banoffee flavoured one is not bad too, has a rich toffee taste. It might be sweet for some who dont have a sweet tooth though. Will try the other flavours soon! lol

Temaki Bento Set

Temaki Bento Set

Megumi is a small Japanese restaurant in the Siglap area. The Temaki Bento Set is my favourite there as the set comes complete with 3 Temaki handrolls (California, Soft Shell Crab, Cucumber), a generous portion of sashimi, salad, miso soup and Chawanmushi, for only 20.90. Another dish I like is their Chicken Hot Stone Bowl, which is somewhat similar to claypot rice only served in a hot stone bowl with chicken, chestnuts, ginko nuts and mushrooms. It is exceptionally flavorful.

Wild Honey OK Sep 14, 2013

Visited the place after hearing about the good all day breakfast they serve. Be sure to make reservations as the restaurant is always crowded. I had the Norwegian, it's basically poached eggs with smoked salmon. I liked it, the eggs are just right, not too watery nor too hard. Tasted very well with the smoked salmon, which is soft and yummy. The accompanying hollandaise sauce and avocado made the Norwegian even more delicious. lol

My friend wasn't too hungry so she had the Chicken Chop Chop salad. It has a unique combination of ingredients, with fried shredded wanton and cashew nuts together with chicken breast meat. I felt that they added too much of the fried shredded wanton, which spoiled the taste of the dish and was quite a disappointment. sad
