One day my friend brought me to The King Louis Grill and Bar. We were quite early, slightly before 7 and so the restaurant hasn’t fill up yet. As a result we also got to choose where we want to sit. We opted for a sofa seats next to a window where one can see Universal Studios in the distance.

Happy Hour
We didn’t have to wait long for the food to arrive (we waited for approximately 10-15 minutes). In addition, we also ordered as there was a Happy Hour Promotion (3 bottles for $21).
Knight Gawain (Meat) - Roasted beef with black pepper sauce, marinated boneless chicken leg with onion sauce, grilled chix breast with mixed berry compote and grilled porkloin with mushroom sauce
When the platter of meat arrived, I was quite flabbergasted as it was a lot of meat. Still. Besides the assortment of meat served (there was chicken, beef and pork), there were salad, green apples and roasted potatoes. I think it’s good that they provide some vegetables and fruits as it lent some other texture to the meat. Else one would get really bored eating all these meat after a while (in my opinion).
As one would have guessed, the portion was too much for 2 girls to share and stopped, leaving one-quarter of the meat and other sides. My friend managed to clear everything but we took really look to finish. I think we dined for 2 hours straight.
I love the interior of the restaurant with some Knight statues standing around and the main colours (black and gold) dominated the restaurant. When it turned dark outside, the night view is fantastic (pity I hadn’t taken any pictures). There was also live music in the restaurant where one could dedicate songs!
It was quite expensive dining there but considered the amount of meat served (best to share with 3 people or more), it was actually quite reasonable coupled with the ambience.
