very limited selection Cry Jan 24, 2014

Was pretty disappointed with the buffet range as it is very limited.I have thought it would be similar to the one at Novena which had a pretty good range. The ones here are only about 1/3 of those at Novena. And the place is only half packed during dinner. There is only 1 standard type of chicken meat here wherelse Novena's has a few including garlic and spicy chicken. There are only 6 side dishes here including 2 kinds of veggies pancakes which are cold and abit tough.Food taste is very average but service is prompt and quick.

I ordered their chicken chop with fries and topped up a bowl of their soup of the day which was mushroom soup. The soup was pretty disappointing as there was too much corn starch used to thicken the soup which was paste-like, and there was little mushroom bits in the soup as well.I put it aside after just one mouthful as it really does not look or taste appetising. The fries were well fried though.

Overpriced Cry Jan 14, 2014

We paid close to $40 a person after tax for weekend dinner buffet which is overpriced for the quality of the food we received.Only the ambience was good with a live band which livened up the atmosphere. There was also a 100 minute limit for the buffet. There was a cooked food section which includes chawamushi, nuggets, chicken wings and some fruits such as orange and watermelons. The cooked items were cold and not replenished when finished. There was no free iced water too.We have to pay $12.90 ++ for a jug of soft drinks which is overpriced. The bbq food was very average, the grilling plate that was placed above the charcoal, was thin and easily charred, most of our food was charred quickly upon contact with the grill plate. We requested for the grilling plate to be changed but the server only adjusted the postion of the plate and did not change it.

We were attracted by their promotion where we can choose our noodle serving 2x ,3x,4x etc.But only when we were seated and about to order, the waitress told us only selected ramens are entitled to that promotion. It is innovative that we can order via the ordering tablet provided on our table.Service was very slow we waved our hands to call for service a few times but even though the crews spotted us,some of them simply ignored us.This is not acceptable for service oriented Japanese restaurants. My order was the pork ramen with black garlic soup.It took about 15 minutes for our food to be served, the food was nothing special to rave about and the black garlic soup was a tad too oily for my liking. My ramen was about $17.90 before tax.

Fried rice OK Jan 24, 2014

Categories : Japanese | Food Court | Ramen

I have tried their ramen a few times and loved their ramen as they are affordable and taste great and most are priced at about $5.And i was surprised they have newly added fried rice on their menu.Hence i got a plate of fried rice wrapped in egg with chicken karage at only $4 which was very affordable.Waiting time was about 15 minutes during lunch as there was a short queue. The fried rice is nicely fried and tasted good with the egg and chicken.
