Nice chwee kway Smile Jan 24, 2014

Categories : Hawker Centre

I love to eat chwee kways and would often order chwee kways if i happen to pass by chwee kways stalls. As i was having a slight sore throat,i did not request for chilli. The warm soft moist sticky chwee kway is nice enough to eat alone without any condiments but it is best to go with the savoury sweet slightly crunchy caipoks/raddish here.Price is very affordable around $1.50 depending how many pieces of kway you choose.

It was lunch time and quite a queue here,we waited 15 minutes before getting a table.Iced water and orders were taken promptly. We waited for about 15 minutes for our orders to be served.I ordered the ginger chicken set with veggie tempura, fruit and chawamushi.I love the chicken meat as it was very tender and nicely marinated. The chawamushi was smooth and flavourful as well. The best was the tamago with cucumber and crabstick which was very appetising.

Yummy smooth chicken rice Smile Jan 23, 2014

I love their special steamed white chicken meat here which is soaked in iced water, as a result the chicken meat is very smooth and the skin is almost translucent jelly-like.Price is good and portion is big.We always order half a chicken to share with extra plate of stir fried beansprouts which is yummy too. The soya sauce that drenched the chicken meat is slight saltish sweet which i loved. However their chilli is normal, watery spicy type and there is always a long queue here.

Katong Laksa Smile Jan 22, 2014

I was around the area running errands and craving for laksa hence decided to drop by and try out this stall. It is my first time here.Place is air conditioned and ambience is ok,quite quiet when i was there late afternoon.I ordered a large bowl of laksa without cockles for about $6.50 plus another cup of homemade barley for about $1.50.I like the taste of the laksa as it is very rich and aromatic and not too spicy,it is easy to eat direct with spoon as noodles are short .Barley tasted homemade and not too sweet.

Pretty tarts Smile Jan 22, 2014

Categories : Japanese | Desserts and Cakes

I was shopping in Plaza Singapura and was looking for a place to settle down to have some light bites. And this place selling a wide range of beautiful fruit tarts that are cake-like deeply attracted me.They are too pretty to resist and i had a hard time deciding which one to have. Finally I settled on a banana strawberry chocolate tart. It was beautiful and yummy, with just the right sweetness. I love the fresh strawberries and banana too.
