best value for money sushi OK Jan 10, 2014

Categories : Japanese | Sushi/Sashimi

You can never go wrong with Itacho sushi. It is one of the best sushis i have had and its our number 1 choice whenever my family craves for authentic japanese cuisine that is great tasting and affordable. Our favourites includes the lobster roll sushi with topped lobster salad or curry. At only $7.80,portion is big and satisfying. We always order 2 portions of this as it is absolutely yummy.Another must order are their juicy tamagos/steam eggs.We love the cold plain ones as well as those with spicy salmon stuffings.Service is good and attentive with our iced water refilled promptly and order/requests taken quickly. We will come back again as well as recommend to our friends.

beautiful cafe and cakes Smile Jan 15, 2014

I was very attracted by their bright lighting and range of pretty cakes and pastries. It was tea time and we managed to get sofa seats which was very comfy. I ordered Mont Blanc which costs about $10. Unlike most cafes, we have to self service here, pick and pay for our cakes and self serve to our table. I really like the mont blanc as it is very well flavoured and textured. Besides the yummy smooth chestnut cream, there was a piece of crunchy chocolate cookie at the bottom of it.

Addictive durian balls Smile Jan 17, 2014

Categories : Hawker Centre

This stall closes early.I was there a few times after 3pm and it was closed. My favourite items here are their fried durian balls which i seldom see at other goreng pisang stalls. They are priced at 3 for $2 which is reasonable as cost of durian is higher. It is very addictive as the warm slightly sweet durian cream oozes out as you bite upon the very crispy crust.I also like their fried banana as well as tapioca which are nicely fried without being too oily.

I love bread line's items as they are nice and very affordable.Their breads are freshly baked in the stall itself and they have this offer of 3 for $3 if you get 3 breads. They have quite a wide range of flavourstongueotato, otak, cheese hotdog, pizza, walnut and the latest banana walnut bread at $1.30 if you purchase just one. They also sells tarts, swiss rolls, pies as well as new year cookies such as pineapple tarts and egg rolls. It is interesting such a small stall like this can have so many interesting goodies.Today i gotten myself the vanilla swiss roll at only $2.80.It is very soft and nicely flavoured. The vanilla cream was just right and it wasnt artificially sweet.I love how the bread and cakes here taste homemade and natural.lol

This is one of the best carrot cakes i have eaten and will continue supporting. Most of the time i would only eat black carrot cake that is sweet. This carrot cake is different, this stall only sells white carrot cake. And best of all they will deliver the carrot to your table where you are seated.I always order the $3 portion which comes with generous portion of eggs and crunchy caipok. The carrot cake is nicely fried and has an crispy edge which i loves.
