I ordered a plate of xingzhou bee hoon for supper as i had an early dinner and was feeling hungry.Waiting time was fast, order arrived in less than five minutes upon order.Price for the beehoon was $4.50 and portion is ok.Beehoon is nicely fried and comes with a good portion of cabbages, beansprouts, eggs and vegetarian charsiew.I would like to come back another day to try out other dishes

Katong Laksa Smile Jan 22, 2014

I was around the area running errands and craving for laksa hence decided to drop by and try out this stall. It is my first time here.Place is air conditioned and ambience is ok,quite quiet when i was there late afternoon.I ordered a large bowl of laksa without cockles for about $6.50 plus another cup of homemade barley for about $1.50.I like the taste of the laksa as it is very rich and aromatic and not too spicy,it is easy to eat direct with spoon as noodles are short .Barley tasted homemade and not too sweet.

Average meal OK Jan 22, 2014

We were attracted by their semi buffet concept, where if you order a main course, side dishes would be free flow. There was a station for the side dishes where you can help yourself to any serving you like.I ordered a pork katsu rice set and was quite disappointed as the pork katsu was very hard and it was almost tasteless. The only plus point was the free flow side dishes which tasted better.I like the brocolli salad which was refreshing.

Normal meal OK Jan 22, 2014

Ordered a prawn toji set to try out as the item looked attractive. The prawn toji set came with salad, cold tofu and miso soup. The salad and miso soup tasted normal. What was yummiest was actually the cold tofu,it was drenched with yummy sesame sauce which was very appetising. The prawn toji was very average as well, nothing special to rave about.Service and waiting time is ok though.

Economic rice Smile Jan 22, 2014

This stall has been around for a long time and the auntie is very friendly.I like to have their vegetable rice if i am around this area when i visit my relatives.Portion is good and dishes tasted home cooked and healthy.I love the braised taukee as they are not too soft, slightly chewy. The curry potatoes are cooked and simmered nicely, without being too soft and they absorbed the curry gravy well.
