Categories : Singaporean Chinese | Food Court | Chicken Rice | Noodles

There is always a long queue here. And the opening hours is about 6 am to 2pm.They are closed every wednesday. So please be early if you would like to give this a try, they sell yummy lohmee and laksa here.Reasonably priced from $2.50,I have tried both lohmee and laksa and i love their laksa especially.Their broth is different from others. Theirs is not too spicy, and is very rich and aromatic. They add in alot of beansprouts and taupok. There is also an egg with sliced fishcakes. I love their thick beehoon which is cooked nicely and is springly and yummy.lol

Authentic xing hua delights Smile Jan 15, 2014

This shop has been around for a long time, they used to have only 1 shop space but now they have expanded to 2 and there is air conditioning.I ordered lohmee, stir fry kailan with beancurd as well as spicy lala.Portion is good and taste is great. The lohmee is different from normal lohmees we eat elsewhere that is dark in color. This white version here also comes with lala as well. The noodles are handmade and taste more like ban mian. The lala is very good, spicy, addictive and shiok.

healthy and nutricious Smile Jan 15, 2014

Categories : Juices

I was really attracted to this small cafe as the items they are selling looked really healthy and nutricious. There were different blends of vegetables and fruit juice.I got a cup of apple-xiaomaicao juice for about $5+,the taste was unique, refreshing and healthy.I also ordered a bowl of mushroom soup noodle which is vegetarian based with no meat. And they said there is no msg or salt in it.For only $5.90 ,portion is good and at first i thought it might be bland as there are no salt or seasoning, but i was awed with my first slurp of the soup,it was very rich aromatic mushroom flavoured.Very good for mushroom lovers like me.The udon was springy and i love the bits of brocollis and cherry tomatoes in it.I will come back again for a healthy fix.

After dinner,i was browsing around when hot star caught my eyes. They have various flavours for their chicken cutlet as well as their fries-original,seaweed,plum,garlic etc. After some thoughts,I ordered a piece of garlic flavored chicken cutlet, and the price for it was about $4.50. I was really tempted to try their seaweed fries but as i was still feeling full from dinner i only got the chicken cutlet.I waited for about 10 minutes for my chicken cutlet and was quite disappointed with the taste as the chicken was overdone,it could have been fried for abit too long as it was dry.I was expecting it to be juicy and tender like the ones i tried at other outlets.

Iced cool tea OK Jan 14, 2014

Categories : Taiwanese | Chinese | Bubble Tea/ Tea

I love drinking bubble teas and i could mot resist a cuppa whenever i pass by Gong cha.Craving for something different,i ordered the iced peach tea with konjac jelly to try. They do have promotion from time to time and was entitled 15 percent discount off their drinks for watsons card member which was a good deal. The peach tea was abit too sweet for me even though i chose less sugar,i had to add in extra plain water to even out the sweetness. The konjac jelly was joyful to chew and eat.
