Japanese Buffet @ Hanabi Smile Dec 23, 2010

Categories : Japanese | Restaurant | Sushi/Sashimi | Buffet

Went for a family gathering some time back at Hanabi! The buffet was ordered from an ala carte menu and they had this really long table for big groups like us. Service was acceptable as they refilled our tea promptly but I felt that the food was over rated. Some of the nice dishes were their hand-rolls and sashimi. I thought their barbecued chicken wings were not too bad but the rest of the street snacks were pretty average. My relatives enjoyed the teppanyaki pork as well as the salmon teriyaki! Its a great place to organize huge gatherings as the ambiance is rather cozy. At about $33++ per head, I guess its a reasonable price to pay. smile

Ice-cream again!! Smile Dec 23, 2010

Categories : American | Ice Cream and Gelato

Its ice-cream for my girlfriend and I once again! After shopping for hours in town, we decided to have another ice-cream treat at Haagen-Dazs!! I had some cherry sorbet while my girlfriend had a chocolate ice-cream!! The taste of the ice-cream melted in our mouths and it was definitely one word- 'SHIOK'! Compared to those trolley ice-creams stationed at many areas in town, Haagen- Dazs is definitely an expensive treat! Nevertheless, you are paying for the quality of the ice-cream and I think that it's definitely worth it! Ice-cream does make a girl happy; well at least for me..haha! tongue

Jap in Heartland Mall! Smile Dec 20, 2010

I love Japanese food! chopstick Its nice having so many Japanese restaurants in Singapore for you to choose from. My friends and I settled for Ichiban Sushi as its name suggests Ichiban (number 1)!! We each had a salmon set done differently as well as some side dishes to go along with! Japanese green tea as usual was served hot! The air con in the restaurant was freezing cold that night, probably where we were seated so we had to gobble up our food real fast..least it turns cold as well! haha!

Happy Queue! Smile Dec 20, 2010

I've seen this happy queue during dinner time and I'm glad I was in it! Some time back, I was happy queuing at New York New York (NYNY) where they gave out complimentary candy floss to customers who were queuing and waiting for their turn to be seated. The food at NYNY comes in a large portion and I do hope they continue with the hamburger competition throughout the month! My family and I ordered quite a few dishes; the giant yankee burger for 2, steamed salmon set, beef and potato-cheese, salads as well as some drinks to go with. Overall, it was quite a sinful meal but the portions of the food were reasonable for the amount one has to pay for.

Tea Time! Smile Dec 19, 2010

Marche is love! I love almost everything there, the ambiance, the cows, the FOOD! A few weeks back, my girlfriend and I had our tea break there. Its a great place to relax and chill after all that tired shopping. We tried their coffee bean cheese cake which left us craving for more!! Came in a set with coffee/tea. I had hot-piping tea..thinking back, it would be great if they had a dessert buffet. Their bakery is just upstairs with so many pastries and cakes to choose from..another place for tea time takeaways people! tonguesad
