Iced Tea with Lime Smile Sep 11, 2012

refreshing

It was often the usual drink that we will go for at a hawker centre, either a soya bean drink or a sugar cane drink. But this time round my friend ordered a iced tea drink with lime at $1.20 and surprisingly it was not only refreshing but also quite unusual as the lime gave it a boost to the normal tea. They were generous with the lime too as they gave 4 halves of it for each cup. Nice.

lor mee OK Sep 11, 2012

ok only

This was one of the famous lor mee stall at this area and during my days when I worked around this area, I failed not to visit them at least twice or thrice a month. Often there would be a long queue and usually had to wait around 15 to 30 minutes for our turn. Anyway, we ordered a $3.00 bowl of noodle.
The taste was different from before as the gravy was less thicken as before and the ingredients were slightly lesser than before too. Overall the standard has dropped.

Fishball soup Smile Sep 09, 2012

It's a must to eat at Say Seng whenever I come to Golden Shoe Food Centre for lunch. Those were the days that I often had mee pok dried and they were packed in a cze cha paper box. This time round we only had fishball soup and minus the mee pok as we were stuffing with other food also. As understood their fishball were handmade and they tasted good and the texture were bouncy. A bowl at $3.00.

I ordered a chicken soup from this stall and they told me that there would be ginseng in this soup. The soup was clearly a ginseng chicken soup but not authentic one as they put in tofu and the chicken given were 2 tiny piece and was of those spring chicken kind! It was a $8.80 a bowl with rice and side dish, very pathetic serving.
The taste was okay but will not attempt to eat here again.

Sweets after Dinner Smile Sep 07, 2012   (Related Review)

nice

nice

We came by here to have some dessert after our main meal at a restaurant at this mall, We were hoping to have some cupcakes as Marmalade Pantry do have some popular ones but it was left with only 3 kinds and we were not keen with the choices left so we settled for some latte and decafe coffee with a old fashion chocolate cake to share among us.
The cake @$7++ were heavily decked with chocolate, from the cream to the sponge. Very rich and the texture was not dry at all and surprisingly not overly sweet.
