Tori Q at ION Orchard Smile Dec 15, 2010
Categories : Japanese

This is the first time i try the Tori Q at ION. This outlet is not like the takashimaya outlet which is always long queue but the food taste as good as the takashimaya outlet.
The rice they gave is authentic sushi rice (unlike other outlet) which is very chewy and you can also request lots of seaweed and pickles from the friendly staff. The meat is tender and mixed well with the special BBQ sauce. I love the chicken meatball stick as it is soft on the inside and crispy on the outside chopstick

Icy Christmas Snowman Smile Dec 05, 2010

Categories : Food Court | Stall / Kiosk | Desserts and Cakes | Kids-Friendly

Today, kopitiam let me feel like Christmas. I was just thinking of having the number 1 cendol but the poster of Christmas promotion attracted me. Various flavors available such as mango and strawberry. Selling at $2.50
I've ordered the strawberry Christmas snowman but the "snowman" is out of stock, so the staff was giving us extra waffles biscuit.
The ingredient: Strawberry syrup, strawberry, honeydew, mango, sago, waffles biscuit and one scope of vanilla ice cream. The presentation of the dessert is good and it's worth to try it.

$2 WonderFood Smile Dec 05, 2010

Well-known ice kachang in singapore. The stall was being advertised on channel U's $2 wonderfood.(shi zai hao pian yi).
Their signature dish is the peanut ice kachang. The ice will melt in the mouth and you will have red bean, atap chee, jelly below the ice.
Besides the ice kachang, they are also selling other dessert. I will also recommend the ai yu bing. It's blended ice with jelly and mixed with the lime.
They are located at the tanjong pagar plaza market & food centre which is very hot and dirty but the stall are always long queue during lunch time.

Peppery Bak Kut Teh Smile Nov 15, 2010
Categories : Singaporean Chinese

If you like peppery bak kut teh, you should go to the ya hua.
The location neither near to any shopping mall nor the mrt station. However, it's always so crowded during dinner. The parking lots is quite limited in front of Ya Hua.
Most of the staffs are so helpful but there's one china auntie with very bad attitude. The boss and lady boss are friendly to all the customers.
The meat is tender and the food is very fresh. No worry about the freshness of the food when you see they are always full house during dinner.

Cod fish pie Smile Jul 21, 2010

Categories : Multi-Cuisine | Bars/Lounges | Café | Pasta | Steaks and Grills | Burgers and Sandwiches | Brunch

When i first stepped in to the restaurant, the staff is very friendly and bring us to our table.
The location is good but the space is limited. Better make reservation before going unless you do not mind to sit at their outdoor seats.
Although i do not really like the garlic smell, i will still recommend the Hand-cut Thick Fries with garlic sauces. Spicy calamari is indeed hot and spicy, good choice for appertiser.
Ordered the cod fish pie as the main course. The fish is very fresh and without any fishy smell. Pie is so crispy and not too thick.
Sticky pudding is a bit too sweet. For those who do not like sweet food, this dessert is not recommended.

Recommended Dish(es):  cod fish pie, spicy calamari
