Cantonese Cuisine OK Nov 30, 2010

Good service, good environment and good food. The price is slightly expensive as compared to outside.
We've tried their papaya white fungus soup. As shown in the picture, the soup is so thick and not oily at all. Feel very refreshing after having it. Worth it!
We also ordered their mixed roasted meat. It's expensive but taste good.
Overall dining experience is good.

50% off all seafood Smile Jul 29, 2010

Categories : Singaporean | Restaurant | Seafood | Kids-Friendly

Ah Yat seafood is having the 50% off all seafood during weekday. The promotion since last year or even earlier. Tried few times and the promotion is still on till no end date.... haha.
The drunk prawn soup is cooked in craypot. Very fresh and goes with the light soy sauce. They mixed the sauce with small chili padi and spring onion.
Sri Lanka crab we choose to use chicken oil steam. It's like steam egg. Very smooth and nice. no extra cost incurred.
Bamboo clam steam with garlic is perfect combination and also their chef recommendation.
The seafood is considered cheap after the 50% discount. Hope they can keep on having the promotion... haha

This was my first time trying hakka food and i totally fall in love with it.
It's only vegetable with rice. Healthy food choice. I've also ordered the hakka tofu and egg because i scared i do not like the thunder tea rice. tongue
The stall signboard listed down all the benefits of thunder tea rice such as promotes good health, slimming, detox and help to treat diabetes, etc.

Fishball noodles Smile Dec 31, 2010
Categories : Chinese | Hawker Centre | Noodles | Brunch

As I was not feeling well today, I decided to have a light lunch. I ordered fishball noodle soup for takeaway from lau pa sat market. The fishballs were very bouncy and chewy (like a ping pong ball) and the stall owner generously gave a large portion of minced meat. The soup was also quite tasty although I do not know whether they did use any msg or preservatives. Nevertheless, the dish made me feel better in terms of my appetite. smile

Economic Fried Bee Hoon OK Dec 19, 2010
Categories : Singaporean | Chinese | Hawker Centre | Noodles

Tao Yuan Cooked food located at the Beo Crescent food market. They are famous in the cheap rickshall noodles. Their economic fried bee hoon is selling at the reasonable price also. The portion of the bee hoon is big. I ordered the fried bee hoon and noodles and add a piece of luncheon meat. The luncheon meat slice is very thin but it costs me only $1.30. Good choice for breakfast.
