Crispy dough stick OK Dec 19, 2010
Categories : Hawker Centre | Vegetarian

When I bought the dough stick from the stall, it’s cold. Moreover, one of the dough stick was “separated into two pieces”. The business is bad during lunch time. I have no idea how come the lady boss would choose a separated dough stick to the customer when there’s still many left during the time. It’s selling at reasonable price at 60 cents each. The stall is located at the ground floor of the Amoy Street food center.

Sushi Deli OK Dec 19, 2010
Categories : Japanese | Stall / Kiosk | Sushi/Sashimi

It's located beside the shihlin night market and opposite the mr bean. Sushi deli selling various type of sushi such as maki and handroll.
The price is relatively cheap as compared to the Japanese restaurant such as sakae sushi or ichiban sushi. One maki selling from 60-70 cents and handroll is selling at around $1.50. Wasabi are sold seperately.
There's no place for customer to dine in and allows only take away.

Mel's drive in OK Dec 19, 2010

Categories : Restaurant | Burgers and Sandwiches

Second time dine in at the mel's. The service was slow for my both visits. Waited for half an hours for my food. Ordered the crispy chicken set. It's comes with drinks and fries. The price is relatively cheap as compared to other food in USS. The fries was thick fries, you may choose to upgrade to cheese fries. The chicken was rather hard than crispy.. The standard seems like dropped since my last visit in March 10.

If you like to eat Yong tau fu, you will definitely know Gao Ji Yong Tau Fu. They have many outlet islandwide mainly in kopitiam food center. They have set meal for the Yong Tau Fu. It's unlike others Yong Tau Fu that have various types of Yong Tau Fu for yours selection. However, you might request to change the yong tau fu to the one you like. But there's very limited variety.
The noodles served with minced meat and sauce with vinegar. It's unique and delicious. The soup is clear and it's taste like soy bean soup.

Spending per head: Approximately $5(Dinner)

Pig Organ Soup OK Dec 16, 2010
Categories : Chinese | Food Court | Stall / Kiosk | Chinese Soup | Kids-Friendly

The auntie always give lots of salted vegetables for the pig organ soup. There's also pork meat ball, tofu, pig liver, pig stomach and slice pork inside the mixed pig organ soup.
The yam rice is fragrant and sometime if you are lucky will have few piece if yam inside..(but most of the time no). The yam rice is always run out of stock if you are late. You might ask the auntie to add some gravy from their braised meat.

Spending per head: Approximately $4(Dinner)
