Went to 313 @ Somerset last Friday and we reached there quite early. So we decided to have our breakfast at Trattoria since we have never tried the food before. The ambience at the restaurant was relaxing. Besides that, the service was good also. We ordered this breakfast set:

The portion was really filling. The breakfast set consists of bread with ham and egg mayo. It is nice and suitable for breakfast.

Spending per head: Approximately $15

One day, my friends and I were looking for food at Suntec City Mall and we saw this korean restaurant, so we decided to give it a try. They sell variety of Korean cuisine such as bimbibap, kimchi soup, korean spaghetti and many many more!! lollol

I ordered this Kimchi Jigae Set

It comes with a hotpot spicy kimchi soup with pork, white rice, potato pancake and free flow of drinks. The kimchi soup is not that spicy. So, it is suitable for kids too! lol

Recommended Dish(es):  Kimchi jigae set

Spending per head: Approximately $20

Nanbantei Smile Apr 21, 2012

Nanbantei is always popular with their yakitori. Went to Nanbantei on last week with my friends, and we ordered the bento sets.

Set 1: Yakitori bento ($13.00) consists of 5 yakitori, rice covered with seaweed, mushrooms and a miso soup. The yakitori is really amazing!

Set 2: Yakitori bento ($14.00) consists of yakitori over rice, udon noodle, cold tofu and fruits. It is really worth the price as it is really a big portion.

Set 3: Salmon Shioyaki Set ($11.50) consists of grilled salted salmon, white rice, cold tofu and fruits. The salmon is a little bit overcooked, but overall is delicious and definitely worth the price.

Cake Tart Smile Apr 20, 2012

First time tried this cake tart at Fruit Paradise and I'm super in love with this Japanese style cake. There are variety of fruit tarts for you to choose from and everyone looks super nice and tempting.

I;ve ordered a slice of strawberry tiramisu. It is custard base with strawberries and blueberries on top pf the cake. The cake is not that sweet as you won't feel too disgust after eating the whole slice of cake. The most creative part is the tart which surrounded the cake, it is super super delicious. lollol

Recommended Dish(es):  strawberry tiramisu

Sushi Smile Apr 20, 2012

Categories : Japanese | Sushi/Sashimi

Heard about sushi is delivered by a small bullet train at Genki Sushi so my friend and I decided to make a trip down to try the food there. When we reached there, the waitress explained to us how are we going to order our food.

Basically, you need to order the food you want with an iPad 2 available in the restaurant for every table. Sushi and most of the add-ons are delivered via the bullet train which I feel excited about, while others are delivered manually by waiter/waitress. When the trains with food arrived on your table, just simply take the food with the plate out. And after you finish taking, press the yellow button above the table to send the bullet train back.

As for the food part, we ordered salmon don, unagi temaki, tamago sushi etc. The tastes are good, just that the salmon don is a little bit smaller. The sushi is delicious and worth the price.

Overall, the environment and service of the restaurant is good. The food is considered cheap but for a small portion. Even the sushi is smaller.

Recommended Dish(es):  Unagi temaki

Spending per head: Approximately $30
