Expensive chicken Cry Nov 15, 2013
Categories : Cantonese/Hong Kong | Noodles | Kids-Friendly

That meagre portion of chicken in the picture costs $9.50, which I think is extremely expensive for just a few pieces of chicken. Although the chicken tasted smooth ,because it was the thigh part, it was a tad bland to my taste. I also ordered a bowl of ma la kway teow (麻辣粿条), this dish is neither ma nor la, I didn't like it. The chicken rice was not grainy enough, I don't think I will visit this restaurant again.

Ye Zi Mei Pao Cry Apr 26, 2013
Categories : Malaysian | Dim Sum

Took a bus to Changi Village today, walked past this shop and saw the gigantic pao in the glass steamer. According to the salesperson, this pao is called the “ye zi mei" pao. Just in case some of you do not understand how the name comes by, it is named after an actress. This actress has big......, erm ok......let your imagination run wild.

I bought one (cost S$3.20)

for my son's lunch . My son did not like it and commented that it was too sweet, so he only ate half of it. I had a bite and found the filling too sweet too, there are also bits of fats in it which I didn't like, disappointing!

Ants invasion Cry Aug 04, 2012

I bought a few container of honey from this shop last year and was told by the salesman that the honey could be kept for years without turning bad as they are wild honey, even ants would not eat them if left on the table. I opened up one bottle recently and to my horror, the whole container was invaded by the ants. Luckily, the other containers were fine as they were tightly closed. I find their honey takes a long time to dissove in water.

Disappointing breakfast Cry Aug 04, 2012

Had breakfast at Delifrance for the first time. The set comes with a baguette, two sausages, sunny side up egg and a cup of coffee. Their breakfast does not look appetising, I think mainly because they did not include any greens in it. The set would look more complete and pleasant with some salad at the side, the red colour of tomatoes and green colour of lettuce would definitely increase one's appetite.

Breakfast OK Nov 15, 2013

Categories : Singaporean | Coffeeshop

Toast box has added a lot more variety of food to their breakfast menu. I tried their mee goreng yesterday, the noodles was fried with diced tomatoes and some green beans, topped with a few pieces of fried bean and garnished with fried fried shallots. I feel that it tasted ok only if compared to that selling at indian stall. A set consisted of mee goreng and drink cost $4.80.
