8 tarts and pastries is famous for their egg tarts. I usually buy egg tarts only but today I saw something new at their outlet, they are selling chicken curry puff! I love their curry puff , the curry filling is rich and moist with pieces of chicken and potatoes, the skin of the puff is flaky and crispy, it has the kind of texture that I like. I had eaten chicken curry puff many times and this is definitely one of the best.

I have visited this restaurant a few times. If you like numbingly hot and spicy food, this is the place for you. This restaurant is conveniently located behind hotel 81 (chinatown), alight at Chinatown MRT station and walk for about ten minutes.
This restaurant has two storey, they will open up the seats upstairs during busy hours.

This is cucumber with pig's ear, good combination.(cold food)Pork jelly (cold food), a lot of collagen and is good for our skin.Shredded pork fried with flat vemicilli noodle (凉皮) (warm food) but I prefer the cold version(东北大拉皮）Fish slices（numbling hot and spicy), there are also big bean sprouts and noodle inside . We cannot finish this dish and asked the restaurant boss to packet for me to bring home.

I walked past this bakery shop and was attracted by the colourful meringue displayed. This whole packet cost $5.90 which I think is a bit steep if compared to the one selling at candy empire but tasted less powdery and more crispy. They are also smaller that I could just pop one into my mouth without biting. My son loves meringue and he would put a few into his milk to add some flavour and sweetness to it.

Went to this restaurant at tampines 1 level 2 for lunch today. This restaurant is always crowded during lunch hour and we had to queue for a table. I love their tim sum, they are very fresh, juicy and tasty.This is rose chicken with spring onion sauce(玫瑰鸡）, the chicken pieces were very well marinated and tender and left a nice aftertaste.This is bun with salted egg filling(流沙包). The warm filling flows out after the first bite into it, heavenly! This is my favourite tim sum there, mushroom siew mai（香菇烧卖). Chunks of prawns and mushrooms pieces are used to make this exquisite tim sum. This is xiao long bao(小笼包). The skin is thin and the soup in it was very fresh and tasty.

I bought two kinds of bun at crystal jade located at changi airport. Big chicken bao and bo luo char siew bao(菠萝叉烧包）

The skin of the chicken bao is soft and the filling is very tasty, chunks of chicken meat inside.

The bo lo char siew bao taste even better. There is a layer of butter like pastry on top of it, the skin taste like bread but more chewy, the char siew filling is moist.
