Lousy Service Cry Jan 28, 2013   (Related Review)

After weeks of eating in North Canteen, I finally decided to follow my friends to eat in South Canteen today,
since South Canteen is much nearer to our project area.
I wanted to have a balanced meal today, so I went to buy rice at the Economic Rice stall there.
The queue was quite short there today.

I bought this plate of rice for $2.50, the price was reasonable.
However, the rice in North Canteen will be definitely cheaper than this.
I can get this for $2 there, with bigger portion.

I ordered 2 vege and 1 meat,
2 green leaf veges and stir-fried dark soy sauce pork.

The vege were quite fresh and bland, they were way better than before.
This vege from this stall used to be salty last time!
The pork was very dark. I feel that it was very unhealthy since a lot of dark soy sauce was used.
It was still fresh and not salty though...

Oh yes, I want to complain about the aunty's service huffy
Grumpy aunty. I told her not to pour the dark gravy onto my rice but she was so quick,
she poured one whole ladder of dark gravy on my rice and even after hearing I said I do not want the gravy,
she ignorantly placed the rice on the counter, making me to pay for it.
She also poured some of the rice back into the bucket, once she saw me at the ordering lane, probably because I'm a girl.
This is not a very honest attitude.
So little rice for me sad

I will not purchase there for some time. huffy

Tom Yum Soup Cry Dec 23, 2012
Categories : Thai | Coffeeshop

This tom yum soup was one of the worst I ever had,
and also more expensive than most tom yum soup with similar environment.

The signboard showed a claypot with a full pot of ingredients, but when my serving came,
all I saw was fish ball and some prawns with a half filled pot.
Prawn was not really fresh either.
Other stuffs inside the pot includes 1 slice of fish, 2 - 3 pieces of "sotong" and a green veggie leaf.

This set also comes with a small plate of mango salad which tasted so-so.

6 dollars for this claypot and rice was one of the worst experience I had.

Service was average, environment was not bad.
Not advisable to eat there!!

Ice Cream Cry Dec 20, 2012

Categories : American | Desserts and Cakes | Ice Cream and Gelato

$7 for this small tub of ice cream.

Meh. Not worth it.
Not that nice. I prefer Haagen Daz or Baskin Robbins. Or McDonalds's ice cream.

You can add waffles or add toppings though.

Ice cream texture is great. However I think it's too sweet and fattening.
Waffle is too sweet as well.
Maybe I chose the wrong flavour. I chose raspberry by the way...

Rate: 6.5/10

Service was okay. Environment was peaceful and quiet.
Don't really have many patrons.
Ideal for studying and quiet, simple date smile

Tom Yam Ban Mian OK Feb 19, 2013   (Related Review)

A bowl of tom yam ban mian from this stall is sold at $3.50, I have tried it once that day,
I find the ban mian very thin, not as chewy as expected.
I prefer slightly thicker ones because they are very chewy and a bit more filling.
Also, the anchovies were VERY salty sad
As for the soup, the soup base tasted like those packet tom yam paste, nothing special.

To me, everything there was just average.

Fish Soup Mi Fen OK Feb 18, 2013
Categories : Chinese | Food Court | Noodles

It was my first time trying out the Fish Soup from this stall.
I ordered the Sliced Fish Mi Fen, I had coarse vermicelli.

This bowl of Sliced Fish Mi Fen costs me $3.50, which was quite reasonable.
Personally, I am not really satisfied with the meal because I find the sliced fish too salty,
I suspect that they marinated the sliced fish with salt.
The soup was quite bland, luckily.
There were so little pieces of sliced fishes, and vege too.

Service was average, not many people patronizing, therefore you will have no problem finding seats.
