Lontong  OK Jun 22, 2012
Categories : Malay | Food Court

This stall seels a variety of malay food ranging from the popular nasi padang to mee rebus, mee sian and chicken rice. This bowl of lontong is not too spicy or sweet and has a generous serving of curry vegetables. The vegetables which I really liked was well cooked and did not absorb too much of the curry oil. The rice cubes in the lontong were soft and slightly chewy and well cooked. There was also a boiled egg within the soup and each bowl though it might appear small is actually quite filling. Overall an enjoyable meal and recommended for lontong lovers

Porridge  OK Jun 22, 2012

Categories : Coffeeshop | Porridge/Congee

THis porridge sold at more than $3 per bowl is served piping hot. This stall is popular amongst people who love porridge. The porridge is well cooked and not those with rice and water added. It is not too salty which I like as not a lot of soy sauce was added to it. I however found it a little dry at times and sticky as it was cooked and boiled till the rice molecules were very fine. Overall still good to try and the serving is sufficient for a meal.

Categories : Taiwanese | Bubble Tea/ Tea

This lovely new flavour was launched and as there was a promotion for this drink, I decided to give it a try and was not disappoijted by my choice. The brown rice milk tea had a fragrant taste and mix of tea and rice and these tasted very well when mixed together. The milk was not too sweet and carried a strong taste of tea unlike some stores who sells milk tea that lacked the taste of tea. The pearls were really chewy and the red.beans were soft and sweet. A reqlly yummy drink for all!! smile

Yummy fishball and cheese toufu Smile Jun 19, 2012

For slightly more than a dollar each, these road side snacks are popular amongst the youth and working population. The fishball stick has four fishballs and has chilli drizzled over the fishballs. The chilli is good and fragrant and not too spicy, carrying a slightly sweet taste. The fishballs are springy and chewy and goes well with the chilli. As for the cheese toufu, I would say it was a plesant surprise for me! There is a burst of rich cheese with each bite and though the toufu tasted more like fishcake it was still good for me! I would recommend a little chilli to go with the cheese toufu to enrich the taste lol

For $1.40, this bread contains many ingredients and fillings of green pepper, black pepper, cheese, hot dog and tomato sauce. The bread is not too soft and slightly fluffy. I wad surprised by the amount of iingredients in the bread and each bite has a surprising taste of crunch and flavour from the bread. Besides this bread, the bakery also sells a variety of other bread, donuts and pasteries, a plesant surprise I found after a day of work smile
