Taro Milk  OK Jul 29, 2012
Categories : Taiwanese | Bubble Tea/ Tea

For $2.90 per cup, this taro flavoured milk is one of its more popular drink. The taro or yam taste is quite strong and rich and is not too sweet as I chose 25% sugar for this drink. The coconut milk taste is quite strong in this drink probably used to heighten the taste of taro so for people who do not like the taste of coconut or smell of it you might not like this drink. Overall quite a strong and rich drink that is popular amongst the youths. Recommended to try once though I still prefer the tea gong cha sells tongue

Honey Dew Blend  Smile Jul 29, 2012

Categories : Juices

For less than $2 , this cup of honeydew blend is made fresh with honey dew and ice blended together. The honey dew juice is not too sweet and taste really smooth as you swallow the juice. Each serving is generous too and this stall is known for its fresh and affordable sliced fruits and juices. Highly recommended for all to try. Besides its honey dew juice, the water melon juice also taste good and fresh and sweet but no sugar syrup is added so quite worth the money!

Beancurd  OK Jul 29, 2012

Categories : Hawker Centre | Desserts and Cakes

For a dollar each bowl, this beancurd stall is famous in marine Parade for its soy drink and bean curd. The bean curd is smooth and soft and melts in your mouth. The bean taste is strong and the stall makes their bean curd drinks and curd fresh daily. The sugar syrup dripped over the bean curd heighten the taste of the bean curd and blends well with the curd making it smooth and delicious. Overall a healthy and cheap snack suitable for all. Besides the original flavor of bean curd, the red bean bean curd and grass jelly bean curd are also popular choices! smile

New York Fish and Chips!  OK Jul 29, 2012
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Western Variety | Restaurant | Seafood | Halal | Kids-Friendly

Famous for its fried fish, I decided to try the New York fish and chips which was highly recommended by many friends. The serving is large. The fish is well fried and relatively fresh. Each bite of the fish had a burst of cheese within it. However the cheese made the fish slightly too salty and I found the New York fish serving too salty for me! As for the fries they are fried well but not too hard and is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The lemon slice made the fish slightly more tasteful but still too salty for me. I would recommend Denmark Fish and Chips more than New York as Denmark has chili flakes in the fish and is not too salty.

Fish Cutlet  OK Jul 29, 2012
Categories : Café | Seafood

One of its most popular orders, this fish cutlet set is served with rice, soup, vegetables and french fries. The cutlet is crispy and slightly salty. As for the rice, I liked it very much as it is not too soft nor not too hard and has a nice garlic flavour to it and is served warm. As for the boiled vegetabes of carrots and cauliflower, they were boiled and taste fresh though slightly hard but a good blend with the cutlet. As for the fries, the serving was generous and deep fried, tasted well with tomato sauce and mayonnaise. I liked the bowl of mushroom most the most. though it is not as creamy as some other mushroom soup, it is served hot and fresh and the serving is generous too. Most importantly, the soup is not too salty and I would recommend you to finish it before it turns cold. smile
