Ugly red ruby OK Jul 30, 2010   (Related Review)

Categories : Thai | Restaurant | Halal

This time we were back just for some thai desserts.

Too bad the Durian Sticky Rice ran out!!
Hence ordered Red Ruby instead.

I must say this is the ugliest red ruby I have ever seen.
The big, red "rubies" filled all over the top and on top is just 5 strands of jackfruit flesh.
5 strands!! I nearly wanted to ask them if its the chef's blonde hair.

Anyway even though its ugly, its taste is sweet and tasty.
The big, fat "rubies" are churchy on the inside and soft on the outside.
As for the "hair" did not make much of a difference.

I will be back for the Durian Sticky Rice one day
Ugly but nice

Sour Beef Steak OK Jul 29, 2010

Categories : Bakery | Café | Desserts and Cakes | Brunch

Ordered the Strawberry Beef Steak for dinner and a pot of relax tea. The beef steak is serve medium cooked such that one bite and the xhewy texture simply blended with the strawberries in my mouth. Two words: soft and tender. Girlfriend ordered a peanut butter fish dish which was quite unique. She was already halfway through it before I managed to take a decent photo of it. Shall come back again and get that peanut butter dish for myself. Grab a picture for you guys next time.

Japanese Ice Cream OK Jul 29, 2010   (Related Review)

Was passing by the same outlet and tempted by the variety of ice cream they offer.

Have tried the usual Japanese Green Tea Flavor elsewhere hence decided to give a chance to convenice me their is the best in SG.

Comes in a cup, the cream is very rich in milk and you can feel the thick layers of cream melting on your tongue.
Spread on the cream is the sweet greet tea powder. A mix of the two creates a long and cool aftertaste. Nice smile It can be quite filling as well.

Verdict: Not the best I have tased but its one of the better ones.
Maybe I should try their other two flavors next time - Caramel and Black Seasame.

Grab a Shilin Chicken Steak as snack while we shops.

I remember the hoo-ahh when Shilin stormed the entire island.
However, years later, it seems like it has lost her touch.
The chicken is still tasteless with the tons of seasonings that was added.
What happened?
Cost-cutting?
Anyway the chicken is tatseless and I threw is away after a few bites.
Never ever am i going to eat this again.huffy

milky fish noodle OK Jul 25, 2010

Categories : Chinese Soup

One of wifey's fave in CCK. She will always go for the Fried Fish Noodle soup with added milk.(S$3.50)

It is nice and creamy and with the added milk, it just creates the diary fragrant.
The noodle is exceptionally soft and silky that will slide down the throat.
The fried fish soaked in the soup just gives the wet yet crispy feeling.
