Dim Sum Smile Dec 30, 2013

Yum Cha is one of the many famous dim sum places in Singapore. But I felt that the standard dropped in the recent years. The har gao (prawn dumpling)'s skin fell apart though the filling was nice. The liu sha bao is not bad. We also ordered other lunch dishes like the fried youtiao which was really crispy and nice. The fried mango prawn roll was also quite nice where the mango oozes out as you take a bit into it, the sweetness of the mango combined with the prawn was really good. Overall, the dim sum is still not bad but definitely not as good as the last time I had it.

Recommended Dish(es):  Fried mango prawn roll

Duck Confit Leg

Squid Ink Paella

Went to try out ambush the other day and I tried their duck confit leg and squid ink paella. I think it was a little disappointing as the duck confit was too salty and the seafood squid ink paella was really tasteless.

Went to tcc with friends to have dinner the other day. It have been a long time since I last ate tcc and they used to be only known for their desserts a long time ago. I really liked the current menu with a wide selection of western food. I ordered their wasabi baby crayfish pasta. They were really generous with the baby crayfish and the whole combination was yummy. Will recommend to people who love wasabi and crayfish to try this dish out!

Mincemeat noodles Smile Dec 30, 2013

This fishball noodle stall always have a long queue especially during lunch and dinner time. Even during the less busy timing between 3pm - 5pm, it still has a short queue. The mincemeat noodles is really nice as they not only mix the sauces properly but all the ingredients are very fresh and the braised mushroom is very yummy.

Brunch with free flow side dishes Smile Dec 30, 2013

Had brunch at Osia as birthday treat from my brother this year. Their brunch is slightly different from usual, it allows you to choose main while enjoying free flow side dishes and desserts. However, the oysters are only limited to 3 per person. The side dished includes salads, soup and many others. They were all very delicious and the portion was just nice however the serving time was quite slow and sometimes they may run out of it before you get a second serving. They serve a dessert platter to let you try one of each.

The macademia soufflé is to die for!!! Must try if you ever drop by Osia.
