Dou sha ping Smile Dec 14, 2012
Categories : Singaporean | Bakery

My colleague bought this dou sha ping for me as she know I love to eat them .
After tasting of one it, i find that the taste is not too strong and it is really flaky with a lot of layers. Firstly, it shows that a lot of fats are added into it to make it that flaky and the many layers meant that the method they used to make this is really , really professional and accurate . Without enough fats, the flakiness won't be there and with too much fats, the whole pie is gonna taste really oily and we could get sick of it really , really easily.
The fillings are mildly sweet and not too much which I think it is actually quite enough for a average person smile.

Laksa Smile Dec 14, 2012

The laksa actually taste really good despite its appearance. It may not look "spicy" but it is really spicy - maybe not at the first taste but after you drink the soup, the spice is quite strong.
The tau pok totally absorbs the taste of the soup and became really rich, flavorful and soft which made it really nice. The ingredients may not be a lot but seriously, the soup is good enough to eat with the noodles smile.

Mixed vegetable rice ~ Smile Dec 12, 2012

I love lady fingers - this lady fingers, other than being a little bit oily, it is nearly perfect. It is soft yet a little bit crunchy and retain it's original "sticky" stuff which I don't know how to name it.
The mushroom, even though it's only one, it is also quite OK and quite big smile. It is stir fry with other vegetables like carrots, celery , corn and broccoli which makes this quite healthy. But then again the sauce is abundant. But yet again, without the sauce it might not be so tasty ! So yes, i would still order this dish despite the abundant sauce that has added what perhaps be sodium or msg.
The luncheon meat is quite normal - i think it's from the canned ones and they just fried it smile.

Pasta~ Smile Dec 12, 2012

My colleague randomly ordered this for me and so I have no idea what this pasta name is called. However I could tell you the ingredients - egg (obviously), some beans, some carrots, some corn, some beef, onions.

The onions are nice - caramelized XD.
The pasta are cooked a little bit more than al dente .
The sauce are really good but it might be a little bit too oily but it is rich and flavorful . It also goes well with the pastas.
The beef are a little bit too chewy maybe i got all the tough parts XD.
The greens could be given more though. smile.

Milk tea with herbal jelly Smile Dec 12, 2012

Categories : Taiwanese | Bubble Tea/ Tea

The best way to taste if how good a milk tea is , is without any toppings and plain milk tea. However, I couldn't resist but to add herbal jelly to it as I was craving for it.
The milk tea is zero per cent added sugar and it taste a bit bland and bitter. But however, if you let it stand and mixed with the herbal jelly (Crushed it) it actually taste fine and the bitter taste is not really that obvious anymore. Great!
