This afternoon, we went to Plaza Sing for brunch and decided upon Nando's as the place wasn't crowded yet
We placed our order and the drinks came shortly along with a glass of complimentary ice water - what a surprise!
I still remember the days when a celebrity visited Nando's and had an unpleasant experience about obtaining some warm water, I applaud Nando's for this change
We waited around 15-20 minutes and our food still hadn't arrived and the couple next to us got theirs first though they came in after us.
3-5 minutes after our neighbor got their food, one of the servers car over with a bowl of mushroom soup and bread for us, explaining that one of the dishes was still roasting so they offered us the bowl of soup as a complimentary starter, I was definitely impressed by the service
The good food finally came about 10minutes later
They also have a new side order menu, i tried the peri green peas and it was tasty, sadly the sweet potato side order was not available;(
Am definite coming again to try that

I had dinner this evening at Istanbul Gourmet, amazingly there wasn't much of a crowd tonite, perhaps cos of the wet weather.
Thus, I ordered a chicken doner kebab.
The staff was very friendly and efficient, my order came in less than 5 minutes
It looked good but the bread for the doner looked different from the other doner kebabs that Ive eaten elsewhere.
As i took a bite into it, the bread was soft like a sandwich bread, definitely not your usual turkish bread. That was rather disappointing to me although the chicken and the salad that was in the stuffing was pretty good.

Since I started working at Bukit Timah, this confectionery has been my saviour - whenever I'm looking for a quick bite with no time to waste waiting for food to be prepared
My number 1 favorite from this bakery is their Chicken Pie, for only $1.50!
Its a tummy filler for those of us in a rush, they also have other varieties such as chicken and mushroom/ tuna/ curry etc.
I have yet to try the rest as I know that the Chicken pie will certainly not disappoint me

I was having a craving for Chicken Bryani this afternoon and decided to head for the nearest restaurant and that was at ML Letchil.
I got a take away and requested for the fried red chicken leg. The packet cost $5.5.

It was pretty fast, I didn't have to wait long for them to pack it, though they had quite a number of customers for lunch. I was there and out in around 5 minutes.
When I got back to the office, I was pleasantly surprised that I had 2 pieces of pappadum packed along. Although there was no gravy, I was fine with it. They certainly were not stingy with their serving of rice, it was a lot. The chicken was a bit disappointing, i felt that it was not crispy enough perhaps I should have just gone with the one in the gravy. I enjoyed the rice with the cucumber and fruit acah the most, the rice was certainly packed with spices and flavour!

I am a regular customer at Old Town especially for breakfast but yesterday was the first time that I tried their Steam Bread
I am sure glad I did and did it taste yummy!
Apart from the fact that I found the 2 pieces of bread abit too big to fit into my mouth, it was really soft and smooth once they melted into my mouth. I enjoyed it thoroughly and I highly recommend it if you are stuck in deciding something for breakfast there
The service at the White Sands outlet was good as usual and I would like to compliment the staff there on ensuring that every customer who came was greeted with a smile and a hearty 'Good Morning!'
