Ordered the pork chop olio after my friend kept singing praises about this hawker stall. First the stall front seems more open concept than others, you place your orders and pay on the spot then wait for your food to be delivered. The servers also include on old uncle who sometimes can get a little confused with what was already served and what was not. Also he almost wanted to collect money from me again
But nothing to serious, its good to see the old folk probably helping out what looks like supposedly his son at the stall.
Back to the food, this $6 dish quantity delights fellow diner with its generous pasta serving. As the kitchen was open concept, i could see the pasta was cooked from precooked packets, just added to boiling water than to the flat wok for cooking with the other spices. For hawker standard i would rate it pretty well, not overcook at all. Next is the pork chop itself, served with mushroom sauce on top, the well grilled pork chop was impressive with the 1st bite. If only there was more. Its the typical flattened kind of pork shop but the degree it was grilled to was perfect. Never had such good pork chop for quite a while already. Overall a fantastic eat.
