BeetRoot Noodle Smile Jul 08, 2013
Categories : Singaporean | Chinese | Coffeeshop

Tried the beat root noodle, very interesting noodle flavors they have here. Also available are egg, spinanch, seaweed, ramen, meepok, horfun, carrot, that alone is worth a thumbs up actually. Ordered the $4 version and was pleasantly surprised by its quantity, i counted at least 5 wantans and 13 slices of char siew. like the char siew also becoz its all lean meat. Though i can't really taste the beetroot noodle, it does hv an interesting sweet after taste.

Not for peanut soup Cry Jul 08, 2013
Categories : Chinese | Coffeeshop | Chinese Soup

Tried the Lotus Root and Peanut Soup. Conclude that they are not such soup specialty. The soup tastes bland, even the color itself looks a little too light, sure signs of lack of effort to enhance the soup flavor. it does not taste of quality ingredients also. The lotus root and peanut was all not cooked long enough. The soup cost $4. Maybe I should stick to the speciality of turtle soup next time.

Ribs Review OK Jul 08, 2013

Categories : American | Steaks and Grills | Kids-Friendly

This outlet is located near of one the exit at B1. You can easily miss it if you don't try looking for the signage. It is actually a pretty big outlet. Ordered the St Louis Pork Ribs to try. It is supposedly the award winning dish with their home-made sauce. One with honey glazed sauce and one with black pepper sauce. My Groupon order also came with a coconut banana split aka cocona split. A little disappointed with the service for a start as they forgot my sundae despite me telling them I've waited quite a while. Though I'm having ribs, I was not given a side plate as well. I had to top up my own plain water as well after seeing no initiative from the staff to do so. The honey glaze lost out in terms of taste to the black pepper sauce one. Serving is pretty big though. As its glazed style, it looks like the ribs are coated with honey. The sides of french fries and coleslaw are pretty average. Fortunately the coconut sundae did gave it a refreshing end with its unique taste, different from the usual vanilla banana split we try. The regular rib costs $15.60.

Mushroom not pork OK Jul 08, 2013
Categories : Food Court

Must apologize i missed out the food photo though I had everything else. The highlight of this stall is that no pork is used in its sauce, which is actually mushroom-based. Trying to imitate the ampang style, the yong tau foo pieces are deep-fried again and served with the starchy mushroom sauce on top.

I ordered a 10 piece set with rice which added up to $9.50. SAFRA card members are entitled to 10% discount so I paid $8.55 in the end. It is definitely less flavorful than ampang style but I like that the yong tau foo is fried again as it makes them crispy to eat. By the way, this food court is one that is nicely decorated with the wooden horse sculptures.

80 cents per piece OK Jul 08, 2013
Categories : Hawker Centre | Porridge/Congee

At 80 cents only, its probably one of the cheaper peanut pancake being offered, even at hawker centre. I like that it is prepared on the spot, it is probably not advisable to eat it immediately as its super hot. This pancake is made with the thinner skin type but filled with peanut a plenty. Sugar is also added to enhanced the taste. It had so much peanut that I could even scoop the remaining using a spoon. Though not the crunchy type, it was a great post-main course snack for me. It would be great to melt a cheese in it though smile
