Chocolates Smile Aug 01, 2012

After the buffet at Straitskitchen (Hyatt Hotel), daddy brought us to Mezza 9 to buy a box of chocolates. It was so sweet of his sudden gesture as that day was mummy's birthday. He picked a box that could fill up 25 chocolates and let mummy choose. My brother and I also picked some as chocolates were meant to share! It was really a sweet moment back home when we enjoyed the lovely chocolates. It was a hard choice trying to pick the chocolates. They were kind of expensive and we hoped that they tasted good. Some chocolates we picked were repetitive as the chocolates were too small to split and share! Mummy love chocolates with nuts and that was why so many of them contained nuts.

Buffet! Smile Aug 01, 2012

It was the colourful and seductive desserts displayed which tempted me to try this buffet. I have walked past this outlet a couple of times and each time, I could not take my eyes off the display shelves.I went with a friend to eat this buffet, which has a time limit of 80 minutes for dinner, and it was more than enough time for me to try out every single desserts and some of the food. I was already prepared for the high amount of calories intake and would be willing to run extra to eat this buffet. I actually started taking the desserts first before proceeding on to the other food. Sweet tooth like me loves this buffet!

It was my first time drinking turtle soup and eating turtle parts! These parts include turtle apron/eggs/fats and other internal organs. Although that day my friends and I were the only teens eating at this restaurant (the rest were 40+ and older), we seriously enjoyed the $17 bowl of turtle soup. The soup tasted really herbal and potent and got our appetites going. (We ordered a bowl of rice each to go with the soup) Each of us also ordered a cup of refreshing lime juice although the soup
tasted so much better. Besides turtle soup, they also serve steam black chicken soup for $10. You got to try out every part yourself to experience the taste and texture.

Kamado Japanese Wood Fire Smile Aug 01, 2012

I ordered a bowl of ramen as I wanted to try out its special soup base. It was mentioned that they used burnt garlic
which tasted really flavourful and I can't helped but to finish up all the soup. My friend ordered teriyaki chicken with rice. It was served with this unique 'woody looking bowl' with the cap on. When lifted the cap off, the fragrance was released and lingered around our noses. Another friend ordered a bowl of rice and some ala carte dishes such as this squid. It was not overly sweet by the sauce and the squid was fresh and chewy. We also shared 2 sticks of salmon belly with a squeeze of lemon juice. Same as the rest of the other dishes, it was flavourful and fragrant from the barbecuing. The tender flesh really made us craved for more.

Haagen-Dazs Chocolate Fondue Smile Aug 01, 2012

Categories : American | Ice Cream and Gelato

Went with family and we shared the chocolate fondue.
They have mini balls of chocolate, vanilla , strawberry and cookies and cream ice cream, banana, strawberry and apple
slices, cookies, cubes of plain sponge cakes and wafer sticks. Little picks were given for us to enjoy and pick on the food!
Dipping into the pool of milky chocolate and I love giving my mini ice cream ball a nice smooth chocolate coating.
