Squid ink pizza OK Aug 08, 2012
Categories : Restaurant | Pasta

The concept of the outlet is rather interesting. With the cardboard signs and recycled-looking table and chairs, it made me feel like I am eating at a junk yard. The black pizza picture captured both my friend and my attention. We immediately refer to the menu to check it out and realized that it was squid ink pizza. As my friend was in the rush, we only ordered that pizza.
By the sound of the outlet name, my friend and I thought that the pizza was supposed to be thin crusted. We did not least expect that the pizza's crust to be cracker-like. The overall taste was not bad and the pizza itself looks like a mini garden.

Secret Recipe Cakes OK Aug 08, 2012

I had a craving for Secret Recipe's chocolate banana cake for quite some time already and finally, a friend accompanied me to Plaza Sing to eat it! I missed the smooth chocolate coating texture with chocolate cream and slices of bananas in it. I
ordered it without further looking at its menu. My friend decided to try the strawberry cheese cake which was rather disappointing. It tasted more like strawberry cream cake as we could not taste much of the cheese. Besides that, the service was really sucky as the waiters/waitresses needed multiple reminders before serving us water. (It was not even crowded that day!)

Kazokutei Hand Made Udon OK Aug 08, 2012
Categories : Japanese | Restaurant | Noodles

As the outlet's name relates itself to hand made udon, my friends and I decided to get the udon set. The set itself came
with a rice bowl of our choice. As for the udon, I felt that the overall taste was very bland and I had to add a lot of
spices for more flavour. I always love an egg in my soup! My other friends had the egg rice bowl and they said it tasted better than their Udon! Clearly enough, although my ebi rice bowl was just average, it tasted much better than my Udon too! The tempura prawn was rather fragrant and the sauce was not too sweet.

Ji De Chi OK Aug 08, 2012
Categories : Cantonese/Hong Kong | Restaurant | Chinese Desserts | Desserts and Cakes

After the movie, my friends and I went for desserts at Ji De Chi (remember to eat?). I ordered the durian shaved ice which looked rather majestic among all the other desserts. A pile of durian pulp was placed at the side, making it looked kind of disgusting. On the other side, there were pomelo pulps which I did not like because they were bitter, and a pile of yogurt balls. I loved the feeling of these balls bursting in my mouth, although it did not go well with the shaved ice. One of my friend had the yam paste with pumpkin and ginkgo nuts. A sweet and comforting dessert. Another had the mango sago ice. Strong mango taste and refreshing. My other 2 friends ate the black sesame paste with glutinous rice ball and the peanut soup. Taste wise were pretty normal.

Billy Bombers OK Aug 08, 2012
Categories : American | Steaks and Grills | Burgers and Sandwiches

Billy Bombers' menu has quite limited range of food to choose from and my family and I had to order repeated dishes
over and over again. We also wanted to play safe and to stick to the comfort food zone. Standard appetiser of crispy
garlic bread and mushroom soup. I ordered the ribs with chicken set (came together with fries, onion rings and vegetables). I enjoyed the sweet savoury taste of the ribs although the portion of it was small. As for the chicken chop, nothing special. My bro ordered the almost similar set, only that the ribs was replaced by pork. My mum had this set which comprised of a jumbo sized hotdog, potato salad, pork, 2 prawns and vegetables. I just felt that the jumbo dog was juicy and tasted the best. My dad ordered something new, sea bass (I supposed) with olive rice. Luckily the sea bass did not have any fishy
taste/smell and was rather tender. The rice tasted strange, like some herbal mixture going to go wrong any moment.
