Ice Cream Art Buffet OK Aug 12, 2012
Categories : Ice Cream and Gelato

Having bought 2 groupon vouchers for $9 each, which entitled Nyx and I to have an ice cream buffet for an hour at Ice Cream Art. The location was bad as it required me to travel all the way from my home (Ang Mo Kio) to Tiong Bahru MRT station, and then a bus to Sports Lifestyle Centre. When we entered, we were stunned as we did not expect such a small outlet. We started our 1h buffet spree and the lady boss (I supposed) was really friendly. I also requested the scopes of ice cream given to be slightly smaller than normal as we both wanted to try all the flavours. The flavours available that day were green tea, oreo cheese cake, horlick malt, dark chocolate, raspberry swirl, cookies and cream, raspberry cheese cake, mango, lychee, soursoap, green apple yogurt, strawberry yogurt, kiwi and durian! (Only last part than noticed the existence of durian ice cream.)

Chiso Zanmai Japanese Buffet OK Aug 12, 2012

Categories : Japanese | Sushi/Sashimi | Buffet

Among the entire selection of the buffet spread, my favourite was actually this simple yet yummy tofu dish. My friends
and I all agreed that this was indeed rather innovative as well as tasty. The tofu were infused with the essence of corn
(savoury) and matcha (bitter) which we all enjoyed. They have the texture of cheese (cheesy feel) and I actually took 3
servings of each! We also felt that if these tofu were placed at the dessert section, no one would suspect a thing as they
were like pudding!
How could a Japanese buffet be without sashimi? Sadly only salmon sashimis were available. I was a little crazy that day
and added more wasabi than usual. I also tried all the desserts and mostly had green tea in them.

GoGo Franks OK Aug 12, 2012

What do you think this is? (Sorry for the unusual angle.) Anyway, no more hotdog in ordinary buns for me after I have
tried this sausage prata. I choose the cheese sausage being wrapped around by crispy prata! With lettuce and onions and mayo! A simple yet munchy combination. However, sometimes I ended up eating quite untidily with the sausage tilting out of the prata, vegetables springing out and prata crumbs raining all over!

Buffet Cry Aug 12, 2012

The spread was rather limited but sufficient to make a person full. They had curry chicken, fish (really salty that day that
we could not stand it), egg/chicken salads, 2 appetisers, rice, ice cream, fruits, marble cake, 2 soups and other strange
dishes that we have not tried before.
So far, their naan bread were the best! Nyx thought the same way too and both of us ate at least 4 pieces each. The naan
bread were not from the buffet spread but was served to us in a 'basket' while they were still warm and crispy. Spackle of
herbs could be seen on the surface of these delicious bread.

The chocolate cake for desserts Smile Aug 12, 2012

Categories : Steaks and Grills

After having my lunch set which included the tomato soup and drink, I added on $2.50 for the chocolate cake. They only
have 2 choices of cake available for the set, which was either this chocolate cake or tiramisu. My friend tried this cake before
and he was praising it, although this time he did not want to add on for the cake (scared to put on extra calories). Do not
be fooled by my picture as the actual size of the cake was just about the length of my palm. To me, it should not have
been called a cake when it was more of a mousse. I enjoyed the strong chocolaty taste, the smoothness as well as the
denseness of it. It was already yummy even without the random scattering of the chocolate sauce which did not help at
all. Ocf could not take the temptation and ended up poking into my mousse with his fork!
