Best Minced Meat noodle soup Smile Apr 15, 2013
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Hawker Centre | Noodles

Compared to the Minced Meat noodle soup at Fengshan which I feel is over-rated, I prefer this stall at Blk 216 Bedok. You wont regret having to queue for it for breakfast... The soup is tasty (can ask for without oil as soup is rather oily), noodles & meat balls QQ, my wife especially LOVE the dumplings!! Do come early to avoid disappointment, as nice noodles may be sold out by around 1pm.

Juicy chicken wing Smile Apr 15, 2013

Their chicken wing is always a Must Have whenever there is soccer match to watch in the evening... Grilled skin with juicy tender meat on the inside. My wife and I always order early around 5.30pm to avoid long waiting time (we noted that, at least half an hour of waiting time if we order around 6pm). We usually have it takeaway to enjoy watching soccer match at home. Haha... the bus filled with the fragrance of BBQ chicken wing on our way back. Nevertheless, we do not like the satay... very dry and tough meat.

Disappointing Cry Apr 15, 2013
Categories : Singaporean Chinese | Hawker Centre | Noodles

I have read many good reviews of the noodles served from this stall and decided to give it a try instead of the usual one I always frequent... Very disappointed... It is always taken for granted that when I place an order without stating the portion size, it is the smaller portion that I want. However I was charged $3 for the larger portion without stall owner confirming on that. Soup is oily and quite bland, chilli no kick at all...

On our way to Safra Yishun, my wife and I happened to see this Duck rice stall and decided to try the roasted duck. We waited for quite a while for our order to arrive. We were famished by the time it was our turn. Good thing it was not self service, we could wait comfortably sitting down haha... It was definitely worth the wait... Tender duck meat with crispy skin, fluffy rice with tasty gravy poured over the rice... comes with soup as well.. Must try!

simple bowl of tung yuen Smile Apr 13, 2013

I really like the nice mix of filling in tung yuen . Simple and humble bowl. I order the one with the ginger soup although they were selling with the peanut soup. I saw the auntie after washing the peanut took the trouble to remove the brown skin so that it looks better when cooking the peanut in the big pot.

$2.00 for a bowl of 5 pieces of tung yuen is cheap even the housing estate you will not be able to find it.
