I Love Taimei Cry Mar 01, 2011

Interesting shop name thus decided to queue for their bubble tea!
As a bubble tea lover, I would always first try the pearl milk tea of each shop to determine if it's nice as I feel that it's the most basic smile

I didn't like the taste of the milk tea.
I replaced my pearl with their white pearl, but the texture wasn't as nice as Gong Cha's white pearl.
As I believe, great food comes with great service, the service there was bad. I guess the typical "ah lian" attitude.

I would not recommend if you wanna try their bubble tea.

Chicken Rice OK Jun 12, 2014
Categories : Hainanese | Chicken Rice

As mum is a Hainanese, have been pretty picky with Chicken Rice.
I love Chicken Rice that has very nice fragrant ginger taste, their rice was less fragrant, probably suits people who prefer lighter ginger taste in the rice.
Serving of rice is quite small, price is similar to Boon Tong Kee's but I would prefer Boon Tong Kee.
However, the chicken is tender and soft smile
Overall: I would prefer Hainanese chicken rice at Far East Plaza, affordable and more authentic smile

Putien OK May 30, 2014

Very first visit to Putien after hearinf many good reviews.

For 2 pax, we ordered
1. Putien lor mee

I think is pretty normal bowl of lor mee that is a little overrated.

2. Fried oyster omelette

Not a choice for me too, as the oyster is too cooked, the egg is not crispy and it doesn't have the QQ texture.

3. Fried Bamboo Clam

The nicer dish among the rest ordered. Crispy and the taste is light.

Overall: overpriced and overrated. It doesnt taste bad, but not really worth it for the price.

Small serving, average food OK Jul 24, 2012

It is a place for chinese cuisine or a simple dinner with your family.
Food are like tze char style.
However, if you are with a large group of people or big eaters, you need to order more dishes as the servings are for 1 - 2 people.
None of the dishes tried were exceptionally nice or memorable.
The food does not taste bad either.
It is an average restaurant.

The serving is rather small.
But the ingredients used a blended fresh fruits and real fruits, naturally sweet smile
If you love mango, you may try the mango with chin chow smile
If you love papaya and love drinking papaya juice, you may try the papaya sago smile
