My boyfriend and I wanted to try out a different buffet and after some searching online, we came across a reasonably priced Spice Brasserie. We visited the restaurant on a weekday night and it was quite empty except for three occupied tables. I guess that the 'lack' of customers around also resulted in a more laid back service experience. The one thing different about this buffet is the offer of free flow beer without any extra cost. But we didn't want to fill up on beer, only on food. They had an average spread, in my opinion. Nothing too fancy. There was cold food like crab, shrimp and shellfish. They also had a cooked seafood section, where they will prepare the food as you order. Some of the dishes here were the grilled stingray, seafood tom yam, chilli crab, squid and crayfish. Other food they have included seafood tempura, fried chicken wings, etc. I wouldn't say the buffet was bad, not at all in fact. But I do believe the dining ambience made the dinner feel very tiring and boring.

Visted La Cantina to celebrate a friend's birthday. We made a reservation and requested to dine alfresco style by having a table outside. Because the restaurant is located just by the Changi beach, the breeze there is awesome in the evening. So if you're ever planning to eat there, remember to reserve a table at the balcony. We sat down, enjoyed the breeze, chit-chatted and made our order. Here's what we ordered: Vongole Spaghetti: Pasta with Clams cooked in Garlic and White Wine Sauce Linguine Al Granchio: Crabmeat linguine in creamed tomato sauce Prosciutto Funghi: Pomodoro, mozzarella, ham & mushroom Pescatora: Shrimp, clam, squid & scallop in tomato sauce The pasta here is not only very good, but also reasonably priced for a restaurant in a hotel. Here's the link to the menu: http://www.cantinafoodwine.com/Restaurants/menu-Changi.pdf I would personally recommend the vongole spaghetti and the linguine al granchio. In fact, just talking about it is making me crave for them right now!

It was my friend's 22nd birthday and a group of 12 of us surprised him with a birthday dinner celebration at the Hard Rock Cafe at Resort World Sentosa. Our bad that we didn't make a reservation prior to that, but thankfully, our wait was less than 5 mins before they managed to get a table to accommodate all of us. The atmosphere was perfect for a birthday celebration, even though we we actually hoping for some live music performance that night. But otherwise, the music they were playing was good enough. I ordered the Hickory Smoked Bar-B-Que Trio Combo, which is a combination of BBQ Ribs, BBQ Chicken and Smoked Pulled Pork, served with seasoned fries, ranch beans & fresh coleslaw. This is highly recommended! I loved it a lot! Another menu item that is really good is their Legendary 10 oz burger, which my boyfriend ordered. It is one of the Hard Rock speciality burgers topped with seasoned bacon, cheddar cheese, fried onion ring, lettuce, tomato and pickles. Recommended Dish(es):

Visited Brizo at Park Hotel with my boyfriend for the first time... and most probably my last as well. We made a reservation prior to our visit, but apparently, they did not record it down. The waitress at the entrance looked very confused when we told her we called to make a reservation. Worst still, she called another waiter, said something to him and he also looked confused. We ended up standing there with two bickering staff until the manager came and directed us to a table. We were quite upset at the service because of her rude stare at us as if we were the ones at fault. We put that aside and went to view the spread, which to our shock, was very limited. Definitely not worth the price paid. They had sushi, oysters, salads, sashimi and other cold foods. All these were so-so for us. They also had roast duck, pork belly, roast chicken, sea cucumber, fried rice, kuih pie tee, shrimp, squid, coffee pork ribs and soup. The only two dishes worth the mention are the coffee pork ribs and roasted meat.

Visited Plaza Brasserie at Park Royal for their buffet dinner for the first time with my boyfriend. We were quite pleasantly greeted with warm and friendly service when we arrived at the restaurant. We were seated down at a quiet corner before we proceeded to view the buffet spread. They had cold seafood (oyster, clams, mussels, shrimp), chilli crab, chicken rice, steamed chicken, sea cucumber, deep fried soft shell crab, durian prata, cheese prata, chocolate prata, egg prata, prata kosong, tempura, deep fried fish skin, baked salmon, kebabs, etc. I must say that this is considered one of the better buffets I've been to. I love the variety and the quality and taste of the food is pretty good. My favourite of the night has got to be the soft shell crab. The prata tasted good but I figured it was the aircon that cooled it down too fast, making it rather tough. The local dishes such as the steamed chicken, chili crab, sea cucumber were good too. I loved the desserts as well. Wide variety and very yummy!
