going french. OK Jan 18, 2013

I like the presentation of the Angel Hair Pasta. Portion of it is quite a lot for an appetizer. People with small appetite can actually order this to go as a main though. Taste wise was good, but could be better if more of the sakura prawns is sprinkled in.

Heard so much about the duck confit so I decided to try it and it was a disappointment. I don't know if the kitchen changes their chef or because of the inconsistency? Cos it definitely does not taste like what I was being told. Maybe I was unlucky that day to have a duck confit that was cooked and re-cooked again to warm it up perhaps (part of the meat tasted tough and hard) However, the smooth texture of the mash potato saves this dish I must say.

Ordered the saute potato as an additional starch dish. THIS IS THE MOST AWESOME STUFF AMONG ALL. Surprisingly the tastiest dish I've is this $2.50 potatoes. Totally can just have this for my lunch and be a very satisfy customer. The saute potato is crispy on the outside yet very fluffy on the inside. Order this as your additional dish if you are a fan of potatoes! But hope the consistency is there though.

It can get quite noisy during lunch/dinner hours, so if you are not looking for a typical kind of french place to relax and enjoy your meal, you may want to try Saveur for their affordable french cuisine.

meat.. meat and more meat OK Jan 16, 2013

Tried almost all the meats and most of them are cooked nicely. Top of my list is the Rum Beef and Fish. Had 2 servings of the Rum Beef as the meat is tender and juicy. The fish wise is tender too, and is not overcooked. Dislike the lamb the most, probably because I am not a lamb person because of the heavy lamb meat smell.

Other than meats, they do also have a salad buffet spread for customers to choose from. The variety of it is not as much as other buffet table, but it can still fill u up even before the meat server to starts to walking around the table.

Price is a little pricey, as meat can fill you up easily, so you won't make another round to the buffet spread for the second time.

super packed during lunch time Smile Jan 16, 2013

As what the title had suggested, this place is filled to its brim during lunch time. If you choose to enjoy your meal there, you have to be prepared to share table with other customers in one squeezy table. Not recommended to big lunch group.

As for the food wise, I like their home made meat balls! Even though it's a abit pricey ($0.50 for a small fried meatball), I like how the meat ball is being cooked. The shop also offers a wide variety of Yong Tau Fu for you to choose from, to spoil you for choices. Soup base is good too, not too salty though.

Kimchi Beef Hot Pot is one the restaurant's signature dish. Soup base tasted okay, just that it wasn't as spicy as I have expected. Portion of the set is big - consist of the beef hot pot, rice, chawamushi, salmon sashimi, fruits and miso soup. The Sashimi is fresh though, and the chawamushi is steaming hot when served, egg is not too "old" (sign that it is prepared on the spot)

Cheese Tamago is my favorite! I like how the cheese melts in your mouth and it is very addictive for sure. The sweetness of the tamago is also a plus point too.

Avoid visiting the place during dinner peak hours as the queue can be crazy long.

Seafood Aglio Olio was a little too dry for me. But the freshness of the ingredients saves most of the dish, as well as the al dante spaghetti. The spiciness is not too overpowering, and I like how the dish is being presented.

Tobiko Scallop Pasta was cooked in a much moist way. I like how it taste with the nice aroma of the mushroom uses in this pasta. The scallops are a tad too chewy though.

Service is prompt and attentive. 5 stars for their service!
