Japanese Buffet Smile May 25, 2012
Categories : Japanese | Buffet

I enjoy Kuishin Bo buffet for their wide variety of Japanese food that I can enjoy at one go! From sushis to sashimi to their yummy desserts of freshest quality, such a buffet is worth the money. The sushi spread is unique, not the ordinary types, but are those of the higher end. Their sushi wrap of fried soft shell crab is a must have every time I have this buffet. Their buffet prices are also very affordable for the quality and variety of food you get to enjoy. smile

These snow skin mooncakes were soo yummy! In the box of eight, there were many different unique flavours, including durian, chocolate, rum and truffles. I enjoyed every single one of the fillings. The durian filling was made up of real durian meat and was fleshy, high grade durian. smile For the other fillings, they were contained in a ball inside the mooncake, like a yolk. The rum filling was the best as rum flowed out and melted in your mouth together with the soft outer skin of the mooncake. It was a fantastic box of unique and delicious mooncakes to celebrate mid autumn festival. smile

Long queue roasted duck  Smile May 03, 2011
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Cantonese/Hong Kong | Hawker Centre | Roasted Meat

I tried the roasted duck from this stall that day, managed to have the patience to queue for it. We ordered a duck to share among the few of us. A whole duck was really quite big as the duck was chopped up into many pieces. The sauce over it was sweet and it gave more flavour to the duck meat. The duck was not very oily = quite healthy! (: The meat was tender, unlike some stalls where the meat can be tough and difficult to eat. Remember to dip your pieces of duck into the chili sauce for more yummy goodness! (if you can take spiciness)

Cheap and Good Chicken Rice Smile Apr 24, 2011
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Hawker Centre | Chicken Rice

This chicken rice stall is one of my favourite. They separate the chicken from the rice, making it like a set and best of all it costs only $2.50! All the chicken pieces do not have bones or skin, which is good, because I do not like fatty skin. Without bones, it is also much easier to eat the meat! smile The rice is fragrant and the chili sauce is quite spicy but it makes the meal more tasty. bowl

Go early to avoid the queue especially on Sundays because many people pack packets of rice home for lunch!

My Favourite Duck Kway Teow Smile Mar 13, 2011
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Food Court

There are no other stalls that can beat Yukee's duck kway teow. Their standard is much much higher than other stalls in terms of the flavour, the portion and the variety of ingredients in the bowl of kway teow. That's why I always go back to their branches when I feel like eating duck noodles. chopstick

I got a huge serving of kway teow when I ordered this time round, for the price of $3. The amount of meat given was generous, enough to pair it up with the noodles. The stall also adds two pieces of fishcake in the dish, providing variety. The most important thing is the chili! Their chili is not too spicy and it makes the noodles more flavorful. They put ikan bilis into the chili, giving you a crunch!

The queue was a little long, but it was worth the wait! The stall serves other dishes like their duck rice, which is also not bad, and kway chap too. smile
