Strawberry Fruit Tart Smile Jul 30, 2012
Categories : French | Bakery | Restaurant | Burgers and Sandwiches

Had a Delifrance strawberry tart for tea that afternoon. Even before eating it, it already gave out a strong fragrance, from the strawberries which were huge and fresh! Each piece of strawberry was juicy and melted in my mouth together with the custard at the bottom. The base of the tart was crumbly and went really well with both the strawberries and the custard. The entire tart was not too sweet, except for the natural sweetness from the strawberries. smile

Yummy Pontian Noodles Smile Jul 30, 2012
Categories : Malaysian | Hawker Centre | Noodles

There are so many pontian noodle stalls all over Singapore that we can enjoy their noodles any time we want. I enjoy having wanton noodles from this chain of stalls because of their unique fried wanton which other wanton mee stalls do not offer. Furthermore, with an extra fifty cents/ one dollar, you get to have extra servings of the yummy fried wanton. Most importantly, their noodles are well cooked, springy and dry! I love having the fried wantons with mayonnaise sauce which they offer as self service.

Yummy Tako balls Smile Jul 30, 2012

Categories : Japanese

Although these tako balls are small and a little pricey at about eighty cents per piece, they are one of the yummiest and filling snacks you can find around. They are constantly being made at the stall so most of the time you get fresh pieces. I ordered two prawns and two sotong balls. It was three for $2.50 and an extra one at just fifty cents! The ingredient inside each ball is small and the batter is thick but the batter is yummy as it goes well with the topping of special sauce. They also give a generous amount of fish flakes which are really flavourful!

Soya bean milk ice cream! Smile Jul 30, 2012
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Singaporean Chinese

Soya bean ice cream is definitely a whole lot healthier than normal milk ice cream, with less fats and cream content. The ice cream was not too watery but still soft. It had a strong soya bean flavour. You can have the ice cream in a cone or cup. I prefer the cup because I feel soya bean ice cream with a waffle cone do not go well.

Clam chowder Soup OK Jul 30, 2012
Categories : Restaurant | Ice Cream and Gelato | Pasta | Steaks and Grills

Was not feeling very hungry so I decided to order a soup when my friends decided to dine at Swensen's. The clam chowder soup came in a bowl made up of bread crust. The bread was sour dough and was not exactly warm. Only some parts of the bread was crispy. There was a substantial portion of soup which had quite a lot of mini clams in it. Towards the end, the bread was cold and tough and soaked in soup which was not very appetising anymore.
