I had the KFC Zinger student's meal, which consists of a zinger burger, a small whipped potato and a regular drink. I've always liked KFC Zinger burger for its big size and real chicken thigh meat (rather than patty) but I was quite disappointed with the drop of quality over these years. The burger seems to shrink a lot more than I remember and the burger bun is very dry and hard. The zinger meat in the middle seems to be smaller too.The taste of the meat is no doubt the same (using the same marination I guess) but then again I hope that the management can do something about their standard of food soon.

I had the Grilled Chicken Chop from 5 Little Bears to share it with my friends. The chicken is a little bit tough, suggesting that it might be cooked and then taking it to reheat again when there's an order coming in. A little disappointed with the standard of the chicken chop. It also tasted quite salty and I guess it's the MSG in it which is why I feel thirsty after having it. I do hope that the shop will improve their food quality if the signboard says "Taiwanese Food" and yet it doesn't taste any similar to the authentic ones.

My all time favorite from Crystal Jade La Mian Xiao Long Bao is the "Suan La" La Mian, or Spicy-sour Ramen. So I ordered that for dinner at the branch at Bugis Junction, and was quite taken aback at the color of the soup base. It is darker than usual and I was right. The taste of the suan la soup is very different from what I usually have. Having said that I always ordered this dish since years ago, this definitely taste different and is very salty. The huge portion of the noodles doesn't help at all if the soup base is not good. I left the place without finishing half the noodles because I was very disappointed with the drop of standard. Not sure if I am going to order this dish again.

I had the Beefy Jack Burger after we get to know there's a Astons branch in Scape. Instead of the normal chicken/steak, I chose to go with the burger. It was a wrong choice though as the burger is not as tasty as I've expected. The burger consist of 2 normal sesame burger bun, beef patty, tomato and lettuce. The serving is small and is very un-filling. Taste is so-so also. Guess I will not order their burger again and just stick to my favorite char-grilled chicken chop.

I remember McDonald's Big Mac used to taste awesome... used to be the largest burger back in... I forgot how many years ago before the "double" series is introduced to the world. I sort of switch to Quarter Pounder for their more huge and juicy beef patty but however, I suddenly got this craving of biting into my favorite Big Mac, so I get myself one from Plaza Singapura, before my movie starts. Was quite disappointed that the taste I used to be familiar with is gone... now the Big Mac I had is dry (both the beef patty and bun), and the sauce and chopped onions is everywhere (very messy). I hope McDonalds will revive it's standard like last time soon.
