Half day book out treat... OK Apr 16, 2013
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : American | Fast Food | Burgers and Sandwiches

I remember this place very well... in fact, it was only a year ago where i used to go here and eat...

It was after duty... i was super tired.... and i really wanted to have no camp food.... so as the usual routine, my friends and i would take half day off on a friday and head on down to carls junior for lunch... Having a safra card makes it easier as you can get a 10% discount for the burger alone and we would share the chili cheese fries... sometimes when we are extremely hungry... we will just get our own...

The meal consists of either a portobello mushroom burger with angus beef or... the usual bacon cheeseburger with angus beef... Thick Burger was the deal...

If i could relive those days again... i would...

Better options for dinner Smile Apr 15, 2013

Trust me this place is gonna get a lot more reviews especially from me.

As part of a new routine.. i walk home from Balestier Road every day and one day decided to pass by this place. I wanted something very different for dinner other than the usual stuff from Whampoa Market.

I bought a pack of rice... with egg sambal and vegetable and whooo it was the deal and whats best was that i got a pack of chicken curry... please know the difference.

It was served in a separate packet so that one can devour...

Paid $5.50 per packet.. you know gone are the days where food was worth but this place is damn good...

Over here... it is pretty much famous where people usually recommend and whilst my chill out with my frenz... They always tell me... eh dei meet me at the famous prata at sin ming and all is understood...

My friends and i usually rendezvous at that location....

Tried this out since 130 always stop there... and i must say it is pretty good... i usually dont take as much prata but i had to have 2 and a half pratas... i wont do 3 because it is too crazy...

Quite crispy... service a bit here and there but oh wells no complains though..

Masala Thosai OK Apr 15, 2013
Categories : Indian | Malay

I met a friend for lunch and discussing about some great food and i am usually a big fan of thosai... simply put it... it is really healthy as it is vegetarian and no oil is used.

Ok so i waited for around 10 mins... a bit too long to cook but ok not too bad...

It was quite small for the price i paid... makes me think that this shop wanna go back to where they came from.. Small, not filling and only served with a miserable bowl of curry. Usually it is served with coconut gravy and coconut chili gravy but disappointment was high..

I wasnt fussy and ate it anyways.. thanking God for giving this food to me as a blessing.. smile

Have you ever wondered how the referees are always kayu? Could it be that they always eat at Jalan Kayu? Hmm you will never know... no one will actually know but anyhow... this was what we did one night after driving from Seletar dam....

We ordered prata and for me well i settled for an ice milo dinosaur... king kong and godzilla were having coffee so they were not available so i guess we had to go to the prehistoric ages...

I paid a total of $9 for 3 kosong and 1 egg shared between 2 people and 1 ice milo dinosaur and 1 cup of teh.. Imagine all the people.... ok never mind but imagine everyone there around 11... Busy as hell...

The service pretty sub standard. No complaints for this..

Here is how we get to this place.. Not that easy to get there... you would have to take the TPE and take the exit that says Jaln Kayu i think exit 9, turn left and go to the roundabout and maintain a right... and then go straight past the traffic light NOT back to the expressway... go straight and continue to the Jalan Kayu Carpark...
