This prata is made of gold.... OK Apr 05, 2013
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Indian | Restaurant | Curries | Halal

If i ever remembered correctly.....prata used to cost way less than a dollar... Be it at any stall unless you are dining at Raffles Hotel then i would have nothing to say about it....

Nowadays, you cant say anything much... because what was simple at a normal coffee shop is now a restaurant... ok i get it... authentic singaporean food blah blah blah... but like really... just dont be so expensive... With a prata costing around say 1plus to 2 plus... cant remember the price as we ordered in bulk... i cant say how pathetic the quality might get sometimes... This place was ok only because i have tasted more awesome pratas else where... if you are thinking... "go other place and eat la.. complain so much" My response will be " every place deserves a comment" lol

Anyways... i doubt il be heading back here to eat anymore... My thought was like wah so expensive... i better get gold out after i eat sia...

Do not be a chum chum... OK Apr 02, 2013
Categories : American | Restaurant | Steaks and Grills | Salads/ Acai Bowl

What was called sizzler is now called chums i think... I wonder why it is called chums... sounds like a crazy thing but il use chum frequently now... Like for example... i am feeling chum... or like what should i chum??? or i will chum your face... well i will never know what chum really means but hey im feeling chummy...

Ok so there are 2 main sections to this chum dining experience... The first a salad bar and then the main entree... so basically if your paying x amount of dollars for the entree.. it will entitle you to have the salad bar and the entree... drinks are separated...

Ok so you have to ask yourself... do i want a heavy dinner with light salad or do i want light dinner with heavy saiad... For me.. i would usually choose... light dinner and more salad because i like a slightly healthy lifestyle because i believe in the shield! Basically believing in the healthier diet..

The salad bar comprised of many vegetables like lentils, asparagus, mushrooms, egg mayo, tuna mayo, penne pasta with tuna... there were three kinds of soup that day... clam chowder, sour soup and mushroom straganoff... Other items like peaches, alfafa and even fruits are served for you...

Other than that... there is also soft serve ice cream consisting of 3 flavors... chocolate, vanilla and mixed... toppings are also available with crushed nuts, chocolate rice... coco pops and rainbow rice.. served with chocolate, strawberry and caramel sauce...

For the entree... i ordered the southern chicken... basically in a nutshell it is grilled chicken with a piece of turkey streaky bacon... a slice of cheese... some bbq sauce, a little brushetta and served with fries... hmmm how simple... not very fantastic but yea i have always been a lover for their steak... been quite a while since i had steak... hmm.... smile

I will be back to try their steak... overall not too bad... $30 i spent for the salad and the entree and a glass of grape... Drinks are payable which makes this place a bit of a downside? For coffee with the entree is $3.50 but with the a la carte it is $5....

In conclusion... do not be a chum chum...

Late night supper OK Mar 26, 2013
Categories : Singaporean | Hawker Centre | Chinese Soup

There are many different Bak Kut Teh stalls in Balestier... Some more popular than the other but... that doesnt mean that the other stalls suck... In fact another one of the better stalls is actually the closest Bak Kut Teh stall which is around 15 mins away.

A set would cost around $7- $10 per set depending on what you order...

For example... I usually will order the pork soup which is refillable... the rice and maybe the preserved vegetable but not too much of this because i seriously cant stand the taste for too much....

Overall this place speaks a little English which is actually OK, else i will be forced to use mu extremely talented chinese speaking skills... ehem..

So this is another good place to have a nice supper when you are hungry at night...

Krakatoa OK Mar 25, 2013
Categories : Japanese | Ramen | Kids-Friendly

In case you are wondering what Krakotoa is... It is actually a volcano a that erupted i think in 1888 or something... I was never fond of Japanese Food especially if its a cold dish... to me it is just not my kind of thing... It may be steak for some of you but it could be also be potatoes for some. There was this stall back awhile ago that i ate and i cant forget...

Anyways... just to make it clear... Ramen is probably the only japanese food that i will actually consume... I tried the volcano ramen if i remember correctly coz of the spice... It was a little bit spicy... though its put as volcano... but i guess i was fine with that... Not much complains with the surroundings but being a big sized guy, i would maybe require a bigger stool... One thing to comment though is that the egg is really nice....

Nasi Lemak with chicken rendang OK Mar 22, 2013
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Halal

Late one evening and after a performance... you are very highly likely to be shagged... You have walked for around 20 mins.. and what you can find out is that there is a chance of survival...

This will transcend to me in such a way that Old town white coffee... It is not new town white coffee but Old Town white coffee...

I had the nasi lemak with chicken rendang... The fragrant coconut rice... followed by ikan bilis, nuts, full boil egg divided into 2... and of course the chicken rendang... It was pretty interesting as the flavor was extremely delightful... The chicken came off the bone very sweetly and damn it was good... I ordered an orange fizzy apart from that...

Overall, i think it was a delightful meal... Kudos to the creator whom created this place we all know who you are..

The meal cost around 12 bucks if you include the meal... Service staff may need to pay a bit more attention though..
