Beef noodles OK May 28, 2011
Categories : Food Court | Noodles

The most popular dish here would be the beef noodles. Several people in front and behind me ordered the same thing. The service is good too. They were kind to take out the beansprouts after a customer requested not to have the beansprouts.

The noodles were very smooth and the gravy is very tasty and flavorful. The beef slices were generous in amount and were cooked tender too.

Free ice cream OK May 28, 2011
Categories : Ice Cream and Gelato

There was free ice cream some time back, where you had to play some facebook game to earn the coupon. I think they were testing out the new flavor.

Greedy as I was, I had 2 coupons - 2 scoops of ice cream. The service was good and did not bring down the service level even though we were simply there for the free ice cream. It was peanut butter flavor, with peanuts in it. Both my friends and I find it too sweet for an ice cream. There were some peanut butter in it too and was too much. Towards the end, it was too sweet and got sick of it.

Tau Suan OK May 28, 2011
Categories : Food Court | Desserts and Cakes

The dessert stall is that of a typical dessert stall found in the foodcourt. I have always liked tau suan, but is difficult to find one which is really fantastic.

The tau suan from this stall is quite normal. It is sweet and sticky, but I find it not having enough beans. It feels like eating more of the sticky soup rather than the beans. Probably it is because I ordered takeaway and thus the you tiao was no longer crispy.

Egg tarts OK May 28, 2011
Categories : Singaporean | Bakery

The bakery is located right outside the MRT station, very convenient for the morning and evening rush. Once in a while, they will be selling the bread for $1, so do look out for it.

Apart from the usual breads, they sell egg tarts as well. The crust is more of the biscuit kind, rather than the crispy ones like of the Portuguese egg tart. The egg tart here is pretty normal and the egg filling is quite tasty.

Wanton Noodle OK May 25, 2011
Categories : Noodles

This stall serves wanton noodles, pork rib noodles, lor mee and ban mian. The smallest serving is at $1.80 but for me I usually go for $2. Having tried the pork rib noodles and lor mee before and both are pretty delicious, I decided to try the wanton noodle this time round. The char siew is not fatty but I think it is not marinated well enough. The sauce for the noodle was added adequately such that it was neither too dry nor too soggy. I think the wanton noodle is not as good as the pork ribs noodles and lor mee.
