Yee Mian OK Jun 14, 2011

Categories : Food Court

There is nothing much to eat at this food court so I decided to buy the Yee Mian. The noodles serving was very generous but it was not proportional in the serving with the ingredients. There was two prawns, a few pieces of meat and fishcake and vegetables. There were no squids to be seen which was disappointing. The noodles were of average standard but the gravy was still pretty good. The gravy was viscous and taste sweet.

Mango Beancurd OK Jun 14, 2011

Categories : Cantonese/Hong Kong | Chinese | Desserts and Cakes

As a mango lover, I decided to give the mango beancurd a try. The display of the mango beancurd certainly deserved high points for aesthetic value. From the picture, you can see there is a thick layer of blended mango and a few pieces of mango. However, I think it does not taste as good. This is because the mango and the beancurd is separated in their taste. However, the beancurd is still very smooth and tender as it disintegrates in your mouth. The mango is not too sweet so it does not make one sick of it.

La Mian Smile Jun 12, 2011

Categories : Dim Sum | Noodles

It was easy to get a table at 2pm for lunch. Even so, there was a steady stream of customers at such a time and the restaurant is quite packed too. The bad point is that the service is terribly slow..

I have tried the minced meat la mian before and it was good. Decided to try the roasted duck this time and ordered lemon barley drink too. The drink was thick and has a nice barley taste, not too sweet. Other than the small slice of lemon on top, there was not much of a lemon taste.

The roasted duck is cooked well, but the bone at the bottom of the meat makes it difficult to eat. Would be perfect if they'd remove that. The soup was flavorful too. La mian itself is not too soggy nor hard. You can see the chef making the la mian in the kitchen too.

Matcha milk tea Smile Jun 11, 2011
Categories : Bubble Tea/ Tea

I have never seen this milk tea brand before and decided to give it a chance. Not a bad choice, but with improvements definitely.

I ordered the Okinawa matcha milk tea. The green tea taste was too overpowering, covering the taste of the milk. There are some red bean at the bottom which I found too difficult to suck. There was a bitter after taste too, probably due to the green tea.

Hotdog OK Jun 11, 2011
Categories : Japanese | Fast Food | Burgers and Sandwiches | Brunch

This outlet is quite small, with the seats quite closely packed. Located right beside McDonald's, a nice fight between the two fastfood chains.

Ordered the hotdog, different from the usual burgers. Was not a bad choice, but I find the beef burgers better still. The hotdog was topped with onions and pickles. The bread was soft but nothing special. Sausage was big and juicy, with a little peppery taste.
