Sashimi Platter Smile Jan 02, 2012

This sushi restaurant always draw a crowd no matter where the outlet. This plate consists of the salmon, tuna and swordfish. Personally, my favourite is the swordfish. The sashimi platter is fresh, tender and sweet. Imagine the omega 3 fats filling your mouth together with the soya and wasabi sauce, certainly a delightful moment to savour.

The staff provide good and prompt service too which makes dining here an enjoyment.

Black Sesame Snow Ice OK Jan 02, 2012

Black sesame paste is usually a hot dessert and I guess seeing black sesame snow ice is something special for most of us. As someone who loves to try different food, I decided to give this a shot. The black sesame snow ice taste unique and fragrant. The paste is pretty thick and not too sweet. The taste does not make one feel sick of it as I can finish the whole bowl. This dessert is good for people who wish to try out something new.

Jack Daniel Steak OK Dec 24, 2011

T.G.I.F has been around for some time but have not stepped in before so decided to give it a try for dinner. It was pretty packed on a weekend. As a steak lover, I picked the Jack Daniel steak since it is one of their signature dish. The steak is tender and succulent. However, the Jack Daniel sauce seem to taste like the sweet sauce from Soon Kueh. Too much of the sauce actually makes one sick of it. The steak is served with Zucchini and mashed potato sides. The meal is not too bad but it is pretty expensive.

Chocolate Snow Ice OK Dec 24, 2011

The snow ice dessert caught my eye as I did not have it for some time. There was quite a variety to choose from and I was spoilt for choice initially. Finally decided to go for the safe and tested chocolate snow ice and it comes with nata de coco. The flavour of the snow ice is not as good as those from Shenzhen that I had tasted. It doesn't taste bad, just that perhaps the taste did not hit that level. It is not too sweet which is good. The nata de coco is my favourite and it goes well with the snow ice. The portion for the nata de coco could have been more.

Tze Char Smile Dec 24, 2011

Categories : Coffeeshop | Seafood

This Tze Char had been recommended on a Ch8 tv previously so I decided to give it a try. It was very crowded on a weekend and would require reservation to get a table. A total of 6 dishes was ordered and it was fantastic.
The salted egg crab brings a very unique and addictive taste to the crab. The gravy is well-flavoured and not too thick and the crabs are fresh.

Chai po steamed fish is one of the chef's speciality. This combination is something new and brings some surprise to the customer. The chai po serving is a lot and the fish is sweet and tender.

The Hongkong style ribs carries a sweet taste and certainly makes one ask for more upon the first bite.

Yam paste is the dessert that the stall serve. It is thick and well-cooked.
