Categories : Chinese | Restaurant | Dim Sum

Usually i always have the Dim Sum with my granpa in the early morning. Yesterday was found out there a Dim Sum restaurant is only open from 6pm - 6am. I went there about 9pm, the place is crowded, but service is efficient.

I ordered Lo Mai Kai ; Xiao LongBao; Custard buns, Siew Mai, Har Kow, Chee Cheong Fun, Fried Prawn Dumpling (with Mayonnaise) & they also selling some dessert too, ordered the Mango with Pomelo & Sago. smile

Overall the food is not bad, but Lo Mai Kai is NOT recommended. sad the rice not soft enough.
Many items to try, will be back.

XO Fish Head Soup OK Apr 23, 2013
Categories : Coffeeshop | Seafood | Zi Char

Let the food do the talking. XO Sliced Fish Bee Hoon $5, San Lou Hor Fun $5, Prawn Paste Chicken $8. $18 worth of food for 2 pax to share. It can’t get any better when the prawn paste chicken is probably one of the “crispiest” version you’ve tried. More importantly, its not overly oily. The special chilli sauce also brings out the chciken flavour, complemently it very well, somewhat like thai sweet chilli sauce but different. The side kick san lou hor fun is also a performer, with lots of bean spouts to make each biteful crunchy and you will not be disappointed by the decently sized fish slices. The XO soup is not overly too strong and should be manageable by most taste buds. You can opt to have the non milk version and it will taste just as nice. My next visit I would probably want to try the steamed fish head and also pig trotter, saw 2 old folks eating that and I must say it looks real tempting!

Hong Lim Food Centre there many stall food to try out, but every where is crowded long queue. I am very hungry so look for less people queue, come to this prawn noodle stall. I saw the poster is NO MSG, so more healthy. I ordered Pork & Prawn Mee Fen mix with Noodle which the uncle highly recommend to me. Aunty will ask do you wan to separate the soup, cause i take away. I prefer the soup separate. Overall the soup base is nice and have fresh prawn taste. The pork is good enough. Not that hard. It cost me $5.
