Xiao long Bao Smile Jun 22, 2011

Categories : Shanghainese | Restaurant | Dim Sum | Noodles

I wanted to try the colourful Xiao Long Bao long ago after I seen the commerical ad on TV. And I finaly got to taste it when my ex boss invited me for dinner. The queue was really long that night and I was really grateful to one of the staff who let me go in first when she saw that I was pregnant. She was really considerate , and this is the first time I got this kind of privilege.

I was not really used to the taste of the colourful Xiao Long Bao, it taste really awkard to me . I still prefer the original flavour. I must say this is a one time try for me in this case. I loved the La Mian with chicken cutlet. The soup was sweet and noodle was really spongy. I can say this is one of the nicest La Mian I ate in Singapore. Dessert was the chinese version of souffle. I highly recommend this dish as I find its texture really unqiue and it must be comsumed when its hot . The souffle does not taste nice after it turned cold.

Beef hor fun and fried rice Smile Jun 14, 2011

CR @ bayshore is actually located in one of the condominium along bayshore road. So you have to go through the security before you can try out their food. I have been a fan of their for nearly 3 years , and until now the auntie still can remember how I want my food to be done.

I like their fried rice with salted fish, beef hor fun, mee goreng and fried chicken. I will always request the cook not to put MSG ,and it does taste different but yet it is still fragrant and nice. The chilli that was served with the fried rice matches perfectly. I love their Mee goreng as I think it is the best that I even eat so far. The sauce doesn't dry up even if I packet it home. It is not too hot so even my little one can take a moutn or 2 before she finds it hot. I can say the pricing is rather reasonable as the portion are enough for 2 adults. They even provide delivery for the 3 condominium if the order is more than 10 bucks.

Soya bean Ice cream Smile Jun 06, 2011

Categories : Singaporean | Stall / Kiosk

This is one of the guilt free treat that I really enjoy! Sometimes when the ice cream shop states that theirs is low fat ice cream, I do have some doubts after tasting it. But this one definitely taste healthy to me after I eat. I think this is the best creation from Mr bean that is really successful. I am not the only fan in my family who enjoy this, my grandma and my little girl also love it! In addition to the low price that we are paying, who can resist this temptation.

English Cut Smile May 24, 2011

Categories : Western Variety | Restaurant | Steaks and Grills

This is one of the favourite restaurant that my family will go for any special occasion. We love the environment and service of the place. And not forgetting to mention the prime rib. Most of the time,my husband will order the lawry's cut and I will go for the english cut. It is the thinner version and easier to chew for ladies. The dish will come with the special sauce which matches very well with the beef and the pudding. They also serve kids menu at a reasonable price and my little girl love their fish and chip. For those who find it too expensive, you can make use of the one for one deal for POSB card. ( valid till end of the year )

Best carrot cake Smile May 15, 2011
Categories : Singaporean | Hawker Centre

Indeed it lives up to its name of being homemade, and the uneven pieces of carrot cake is so soft that it dissolves in your mouth, almost like mashmellows. I have never tried carrot cake with such wonderful texture and I would say that this is the best I have tried so far. Generous portions of egg and at only S$2, I must say it looked more like a S$4 dollar order. The quantity of carrot cake was so much but as it was so delicious, I managed to finish the entire packet. Definitely a must try! smile
