Banana fritters Smile May 14, 2011
Categories : Singaporean | Food Court

The auntie from another stall recommended the banana fritters to me. She told me that the banana fritter will still taste nice if I left it there for a day. I didn't actually left it for a day before I consumed , but I do have agree with her that it does taste nice. The banana was really abundant and sweet. The texture of the fritter is soft unlike some of those which I tried is rather starchy and hard. Good reccomendation by the auntie from the other stall.

black sesame Smile May 13, 2011

The auntie was really adorable, she actually asked me to go into the stall to help her with the cashier machine when I was about to make my order. I got her problem solved and got my black sesame. I have this intention to compare this with the one I got the other day. Without having to taste it, I already know this sesame was much better. The aroma of sesame struck me when I opened the cap. It is a much thicker version than the one I ate the other day. And it has the fragrance of roasted seseame taste with every spoon I took. Found myself another good place to eat nice dessert. Yippy!

Fish ball noodle Smile May 09, 2011

Categories : Hawker Centre | Noodles

This is the first time I tried fishball noodle from this stall. I almost missed this stall as it was actually sandwiched by the 2 crowds from the 2 famous stall that are just a few stall away from theirs. The mee was springy and the chill was mixed at a right proportion. They are also not stingy with the ingredients. There are 3 hand made fishball and 1 piece of fish cake. I have even ordered an additional side dish. It is quite unqiue as most of the time , the fillings are wrapped with minced meat , whereas this was wrapped with fish. Nice and worth the try.

battered fish  Smile May 08, 2011

This stall is always packed with lunch crowd as the price is considered quite reasonable. It serves mixed rice as well as soup dishes like laska, fishball soup etc. Not only that , they also serve nice curry puffs. And it is always sold out. So I decided to try their battered fish in stick. The batter was sweet tasting and it matches the fish. And thanks to this battered fish, my trip down to the stall was not fruitless.

duck rice Smile May 07, 2011

Categories : Food Court

I wanted to add some braised tau pok initally as I was really hungry that day. To my surprise, my order of 1 packet of duck rice come with side dishes already. It included braisd egg, tau kua and peanut. I still thought it will cost me 4 to 5 dollars with all those additional things. But I had only paid 3.50 for all the items that I listed above. Of course, that included the yam rice and the duck meat. I also like the yam rice from this stall, the rice has got a 'burnt' taste that is quite simliar to those claypot rice. Duck meat was tender even though I was being given the breast meat. It was really filling lunch for the day.
