Homemade ice cream Smile Apr 27, 2013

The chocolate sherbet here actually put up a good fight with the hei Ice cream at awfully chocolate. It's rich in dark chocolate, and just so yummy.

Salted caramel ice cream as companion can counter the chocolate shwrbet (which can be overwhelming after a few mouthful)

They do have pretty exotic flavors. Their mystery flavor is roasted garlic! I can't imagine havig a cup of garlic, even in forms of ice cream.

Their chrysanthemum is pretty refreshing, and the staff did mention that it is made with home cooked chrysanthemum tea, so it would not be that sweet.

Each of their size can have a choice of two flavors. And despite the small-looking cup, the staff do fill it up to the brim. Worth the money spent. Take home pack are available for 12 dollars too.

Remember your student benefits too!

Dessert at reasonable price  Smile Apr 24, 2013

Went to medz just for dessert, and for a drink.

Their beers have the one for one promotion, and ciders here cost 24 dollars for these 2 bottles. Toffee apple cider is sweet! And have the toffee after taste.

The mosit rainbow cake has layer of cream cheese in between, and it reminds me of red velvet cake, just a much more prettier colorful version of it.

Chocolate lava cake! It comes with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, of which I ignored and almost forgot about as I was busy attacking the chocolate cake. The lave cake is heavenly. But it is so melted that basically only the top layer is left cake like, and the remaining are all molten chocolate. Nothing solid to bite into.

There is apprently promotions during the tea time, 50% off for students! One of the benefits of being one smile

Ice cream Smile Jul 05, 2011

Mr bean ice cream has got to be one of the most guilt free treat ever, with the healthier sign and yet taste so heavenly; rich in soya taste and yet at the same time, not too sweet. I will never get sick of this. I guess i will never get sick of Mr Bean products.

The service was fast, though i had no idea why the cashier sounded so surprised when i asked for a cover to the cup. I was surprised that the ice cream was able to last for so long; it was still in shape after a 20 minutes journey.

Peanut pancake Smile Jun 27, 2011

Categories : Singaporean | Desserts and Cakes

One thing that i really like about jollibean pancake is that their peanut filling is thick and crunchy, and totally not dry at all.

The thin crispy one is great for snack, but could only be eaten on the spot before it turned soft and really hard to eat. So for take away, i would usually go for the ones in a box. It is better than those that are selling for one for a dollar, cause the pancake itself is too thick for my liking. This twisted ones that goes in a box are the best anytime. Tha pancake cannot be too thick or it wont be able to be rolled, and the ratio to the peanut filling is the best too.

Mud pie!  Smile Jun 27, 2011
Categories : Café | Ice Cream and Gelato

I had always wanted to try the mud pie at island creamery, but for the past few times that i went, i was too late and i was always that it was sold out for the day. So, i was super excited when i managed to order it this time round when i went around lunch time.

This is sheer delight for any oreo and chocolate lover out there! Simply delicious! Though it is necessary to wait for it to thaw for a moment before we could have it (it was frozen solid). But the thick rice chocolate ice cream on top and cookie and cream at the bottom is heavenly. For $4.80, this is the most worth while and best mudpie i had in a long time.
