FC3 Fruit Stall Smile Oct 25, 2011
Categories : Food Court | Juices

Most people studying in SP would have heard of this fruit juice stall in FC3. It is one of those stalls which have gained a good reputation as it serves freshly squeezed drinks at low prices.
Most of its fruit juices are $2 and below and this even includes their mixed fruit juices. My personal favourite is mango/strawberry ice blended although it might be a little too sweet for most people.

Pontian wanton noodles Smile Oct 24, 2011

Economical yet delicious wanton noodles anyone?

Pontian's wanton noodle seem to be the perfect answer for Singaporeans unsatisfiable craving for economical delicacies.

I recently went to Redhill Food Centre to have my lunch.

I spotted Pontian's long queue and immediately knew , only delicious food could have attracted such a long queue of people.

I ordered a bowl of dry wantoon noodles at $3.30.

The noodles were chewy ( in a nice way ) and the sauce was slightly spicy and " just right".
I would definitely choose to return to pontian if given a chance again! (:

Pizza Hut Smile Oct 24, 2011
Categories : Restaurant | Pasta

When we mention pizza hut, most people will immediately think about pizza.

However, recently, pizza hut has introduced a whole new list of food items in its menu.
Instead of just eating pizza, you can have a wider range of food items to choose from.

Boonlay's pizzahut is relatively quiet compared to other outlets.

I ordered the student meal ( curry zazzle baked rice) and was delighted with it.
The curry gravy was rich and thick and spicy but not too hot.

Me and my friends also ordered two side dishes (chicken drumlets and icecream brownie)

Overall, we spent about $10 per person inclusive of gst and service charge.

Yoshinoya (Hougang st 21) Smile Oct 24, 2011
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Japanese | Rice

I passed by Yoshinoya at Hougang St 21 recently. As it happens to be near my house, i frequently visit this branch.

There is an ongoing promotion at Yoshinoya which allows student to order a main dish and drinks at just $5.

They offer 3 choices for the main course. Beef bowl, salmon rice bowl, and chicken rice bowl.

I ordered the student meal beef bowl and i was rather pleased with my choice.
The beef was juicy and in just the right portions for a student.

Theres another option to top up your meal with a side dish for an additional $1. Overall, it was quite worth the $5 bucks.

KFC BUGIS OK Oct 22, 2011
Categories : American | Fast Food | Halal

I went to Bugis's KFC a few days ago after shopping there with my friends.

The place was rather crowded but we quickly found ourselves some seats.

I have always been a fan of KFC's chicken despite its " unhealthiness"

I ordered the ultimate value box, which i found rather worth it.
$5.50 for drinks, one piece chicken, one burger and one mashed potato.

I was quite satified with the tenderness of the chicken and the crispiness of its skin.

I will be supporting KFC in many more years to come! ( assuming the prices of its food wont rise) (:
