We stopped by Benjamin Browns to have our lunch.Here's an image of the Bistro, which certainly looks posh and nice.Even the paper napkin contained a nice design.I ordered Beef Bolognese Spaghetti, which cost me $16 (before GST & service charge). The spaghetti serving portion was just nice and it came with a lot of minced beef. There were also flakes of cheese placed at the top of the minced beef. The minced beef was tasty and yummy!!! However I felt it could have been better if they provided meatballs for this Beef Bolognese Spaghetti. For a price of $16, I felt the Beef Bolognese Spaghetti was slightly over-priced as it contained only minced meat and the serving portion of the spaghetti was only average .Here's the receipt of our meals.

Seafood platterBought my friends to eat at Swensen Vivo. We ordered a variety of dishes such as the Clayfish pasta, Seafood platter which cost $30 and a few ice-cream dishes. The seafood platter for one person contained squid, 2 tiger prawns, 2 clayfish, 1 dory fish and fried rice and this dish cost $30. Although the seafood platter presentation was nice, I felt the serving portion was simply too little, for the price of $30. Also, it tasted slightly bland.

Only the 3 dishes of ice-creams tasted nice. Also the ice-creams were creatively presented and serving portions were just nice.

I felt Swensens still have lots of room for improvement in terms of their Western cooked food. But when it comes to their ice-creams, the taste and quality is still there.

Also their staffs were not attentive at all. It took us considerable efforts before we can get their attention to get our plates and utensils for us to eat our ice-creams. In the first place, when they serve us the ice-creams, they should have get the plates and utensils for us too but they did not. This is an area that they should look into and improve on it as it certainly impacts the dining experience of their diners.

I ordered the mixed beef noodle for my lunch. Found that the soup was tasty and to my liking. The meat portions given were generous and I felt it's valued for money, for the meal only cost me $11.90++.

I had also tried out some of the Vietnamese sauce that was placed on our table and it certainly helps to add flavour to the soup when I added into it. However dipping the meat into the sauce has little impact on the flavour.

Overall, I felt that my meal was still acceptable but I won't recommend my friends to try as their queue are always very long during lunch time and the overall taste is just average only.

My family and I decided to have our dinner at Prata Planet, Clementi as most of the stalls were closed during CNY period. All of us ordered different types of pratas, such as Egg prata, Plain prata, Cheese prata, Egg with Onion prata, Garlic prata.

Below is a photo of my one piece of Egg prata and one piece of my Cheese prata. The cheese prata tasted average and it does not have much of the cheese taste.

My egg with onion prata was slightly better.

My dining experience at the restaurant was good and the waiters were responsive and polite.

I ordered the dory fish that comes with tomato sauce, a whipped potato and some vegetables. The fish tasted soft and aromatic and the tomato sauce helped to enhance the taste of the dory fish. I don't really like the whipped potato and vegetables as it tasted so blend. I also felt the fish serving was small and it could be further improved by having bigger portions served to future patrons.
