Authentic Thai Place OK Mar 17, 2013

Head over to Ahloythai with niece for dinner! and this is my 7th time to Ahloythai I really hate how they increase the price. I'm always paying more for what I did the last visit, and probably only months apart. Oh well, the food remains up to my expectation, so I shall deal with it.
Arrived there at 6:15pm, and there is a queue outside and waited for 10min before getting a table; and that's only because there is only two of us dining. If there are more people, remember to do reservation.

Food ordered:

Thai Milk Red Tea

Phat Thai

Pineapple Fried Rice

Tom Yam Prawn Soup

My favorite is the phat thai and thai milk red tea, but I'm just disappointed that they do not allow special orders(can't order Phat Thai w/out beansprout) during peak hour. I had to spend 10min trying to make sure all the beansprout was taken out before eating. Their Tom Yum Soup was quite good, prawn was big and the price is reasonable as it can be shared among two person, just order additional rice along

Staffs not really friendly and you have to queue to pay and sometimes the food come after very long time, during peak hours, maybe some stuffs are out of stock even. I suggest to for lunch or early dinner there.

Macho Cheese Fries OK Mar 14, 2013

Categories : American

I was filming for CNOS v2.0 and have chosen this as my favorite shop!

I'm totally a 'jiak gan dang' kind of person.
I love potato, all kinds of potato except potato chips ._.
fast food kind of fries are nothing compared to their wacky fries with unique toppings.
I mean com'on just look at their menu, you will be spoilt for choices to which you should try.
Among the fanciful choices given, I still prefer the signature - MACHO CHEESE FRIES /FLEX MUSCLES
It may be very 'normal' but the cheese is thick and creamy, along the thick-cut fries, it's real filling and probably the best combination ever. & The staffs were generous with sauce.
Beside fries, they also sell hot dog bread and nuggets that is inclusive of one dip, so if y'all sick of Mac's curry sauce coated nugget, can give this a try.
You could pair up with a cup of Sjora for just $1.50 and I would recommend the Mango Peach flavor, not too thick nor sweet but perfect.

The place would be better if they're more seats, it's really cramp and I've to wait for people to leave before I could finally sit down and take some pictures. I would still feel the fries a little bit pricey for the regular size one.

Ala Carte Buffet @ Dim Sum Love OK Jan 07, 2013

Categories : Singaporean | Restaurant | Dim Sum | Kids-Friendly

Mad excited because it has been ages since I ate Dim Sum, boyf was anticipating for it too since he loved Dim Sum.
We arrived earlier so we can eat more, but I was quite disappointed because there are many restrictions that wasn't stated on the website before we purchase. & also plain water not complementary, costs $0.50
Last order at 4PM (though it was stated that buffet was 3-5)
Only after you finished your orders, before you can order another round of food
Maximum 3 rounds of ordering
Can only maximum order $39.90 worth of food per pax
All these restriction makes me feel so time-constrained, I kept stuffing the food with boyf so as to make full use of our vouchers. However, the food was considered good, so I'm not going to complain further. However, do note that all the bun seems to be mini-version as compared to those outside.

Good: Egg Tart, Peanut Porridge, Chee-Cheong Fun.
Egg Tart - bite-sized, the egg part is smooth and nice
Porridge - Smooth, layered with my favourite chicken(?) floss. totally my favourite kind of porridge!
Chee-Cheong Fun - It would be awesome without the fillings, outer layer is smooth and sauce is just nice
I totally love this few items that I can keep eating more than 3 rounds if there isn't any restrictions.

Bad: 莲蓉包& Paper Wrapped Chicken
莲蓉包 - Boyf said filling tasted very bad, that he tried to stuff it into my coke so as to avoid extra charges.
Paper Wrapped Chicken - Chicken was stuck to the paper and it was quite troublesome to eat it
