Curry udon OK May 20, 2013
Categories : Japanese | Sushi/Sashimi

Mai hiam buey pai. My exact words.

There is often a long Q found at this place, no matter what time, and it gets worse on weekends... Dont fancy the sushi here much, the salmon seems to be chilled for days?

I only eat the curry udon at this place whenever the friends are too lazy to travel to eat. As it is a neighbourhood place, there isnt a need to dress up as well.

Overall, the service is decent. If only they serve with more curry and potato....

ok-ok korean snacks OK May 20, 2013
Categories : Korean

I like their beef on a stick, and their tteokbokki is ok-ok, not very spicy, but it cost about $3.50 a bowl which is quite expensive.

There is quite a queue at the stall during 7pm and most people buy their tteokbokki. And i was quite surprised that they manage to clear the food when i passed by the stall at 9pm on some days.

Overall, its an ok-ok snack. The aunties are quite friendly as well.

The place to go to after lunch! OK May 02, 2013
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Juices

Or before lunch, it depends on the queue at the place where we will have our lunch.

The queue at this fruit stall is always long. Friends who have part time at Far East Plaza have also recommended this place, telling me how fresh their fruits are.

The only thing i dislike about this place is their fruit juice. As they tend to mix all fruits in 1 blender, which caused the next juice to have some beet root juice if the first was that drink.

Green Tea ice cream OK Mar 11, 2013
Categories : American | Ice Cream and Gelato

Esplanade is normally a dead town during weekends if there is no performance outside. But last weekend was filled due to the IT show.

Haagen daz and the cafe opposite is amazingly empty. Had the sofa seat and was also entertained by 2 performers with face painting whose walking around Esplanade to promote art? Nearly had a scare though, if the friend opposite me did not warn me.

Had their 3 scoops plus a waffle. It was quite a wait for the waffle but it was worth it as it is crispy and soft, and the overall taste is good, but the small piece of waffle is very expensive, it cost $5 for a 3 inch square waffle.

Took a risk and tried their green tea, as most places do their green tea sweet. But Haagen Daz's green tea is bittersweet. Am pleased with it. As for macadamia nut ice cream, it was a tad too sweet.

Overall, the experience is not bad.

Best roll cakes! OK Feb 20, 2013
Categories : Fusion | Bakery

1 roll of cake is definitely not enough and 1 slice will send you to straight to heaven!

The queue for the swiss rolls are crazy but the it didnt stop the people from buying. However, the staff is quite rude and proud when i asked them politely when will the durian swiss roll be ready. The lady snapped at me and asked me to 'just come and check later la! ask so much' - so perhaps many people before me asked her that already? Perhaps they can just put up a sign of 'how much waiting time' is there.
