Back for more latte art! Smile Dec 10, 2013
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Café

It seems that its always full house no matter what time i visit the place. But the servers are always able to find some room for us and anyone else that came later.

Ordered the macadamia creme brulee. Its a tad too sweet and latte art is unavailable for this drink.

Was a little hungry and i ordered the mushroom and chicken pizza to share. Not sure if we are all hungry or the pizza taste good. Its made of thin crust and generous toppings.

Friend ordered a rose latte, according to her, it is somewhat decent. And she requested for a minion latte art which, she was delighted with the outcome.

Will definitely be back for more of their food as i see many people eating their pasta.

Rare lunch treat Smile Dec 10, 2013

Categories : Japanese | Restaurant | Sushi/Sashimi | Omakase | Fine Dining

Am not a newbie here, and i have been eating chirashi for so many rounds until a friend recommended me to try the beef rice here, which is a seasonal item and it is not on the regular menu.

First up is the otoshi, the starters which cost $3++. Their otoshi is pretty standard.

I ordered a 80g Omi beef with white truffle and onsen egg. It was a bowl of heaven. Definitely 100 times better than the chirashi set. But 80g is a tad too small of a portion, perhaps its wiser for sharing if the group is having other set.

The sesame pudding ($6++) has became a usual for me whenever i dine at Aoki. Its refreshing and smooth to the taste bud. And not many Japanese restaurant serve this.

Interesting concept OK Dec 10, 2013

Categories : Multi-Cuisine | Noodles

Everywhere was crowded at Chinatown Point so my friend decided to settle his dinner here - there wasnt any queue.

I ordered the dumpings as i wanted something spicy. It was so-so.

The soup is surprising still hot when he's almost finished with the noodles and the soup taste decent.

The noodle set is quite interesting as it came like that, and my friend was supposed to pour in the ingredients and it will be cooked.

It was a pumpkin dish.. dont really taste good. Not enough pumpkin to start with.

The better side dish of all - silverfish. Both my friend and i regretted not ordering 2 plates of these then ordering the pumpkin dish.

The wolfberry chrysanthemum is not very sweet which is good.

Overall, the food is so so. Will not return unless the rest of the places are with long queue.

Spending per head: Approximately $17(Dinner)

Generous unagi! Smile Oct 31, 2013

Categories : Japanese | Restaurant

Dropped by for a quick meal for the unagi fried rice and a dessert.

I can hardly find a decent unagi fried rice until a friend told me i should try this place. Its a little inconvenient to visit this place as only buses are available. But this is the best outlet to go to, as their drinks are refillable while other branch charge. And different branches has different prices. There isnt much crowd when i dropped by.

The unagi fried rice has generous chunks of unagi and you are able to eat more than 1 unagi in every spoonful. Overall, its very worth it.

The dessert is very good, but the cost is a little steep. But i will certainly buy it again whenever i can afford.

Recommended Dish(es):  Unagi fried rice

Spending per head: Approximately $30(Dinner)

Not a fan of korean food Smile Oct 31, 2013

Categories : Korean | Chinese Soup | Noodles

But this is something i can accept. Its somewhat affordable. It costs me $17 and its more of a quick meal.

The drink is not bad, quite refreshing.

This bibimbap is cooked with black rice and it has spicy pork & egg with sesame & spicy sauce. Out of so many dishes, this is probably the one that i ate the most. The sides are not fantastic though.
