I went there to have a simple lunch, passed by the stall and decided to order. The stall appeared new and clean, chef was a guy. Menu was plentiful, I took a look and placed my order. Their business hour was from 11:30AM to 2:30PM for lunch and 5:00PM to 10:00PM for dinner.

Unfortunately, the noodle was too wetly mushy, not too nice about the texture. Don’t know whether the chef put in too much of water, or it was the original style of their cooking. A little greasy, maybe it was too oily and salty. Seafood was little, no prawn given. $4.00 was inexpensive, but the quality was not there. If you asked me, I am not going to revisit it again.

Hardly to find a this type of classic-style Chinese Restaurant, it was still using the pushcart to deliver its Dim Sum. Coming here during weekend for breakfast, queue was a must. Obviously short-handed, service standard was not that good where I found it extremely difficult to get the staffs’ attention.

Prawn Dumplings

Well, there were only two dishes I want introduce here. Juicy fresh Shrimp was quite commendable, it was filling. But, it was nothing special or outstanding to scream off. In fact I was quite disappointed for the visit, maybe my expectation towards it was too high.
Chicken Feet

Another one would be this, it was cleaned, pat-dried, fried and coated with sweetened spicy sauce. Softly smooth in texture, it was flavourful too. Sadly, I was not too fancy about this dish. The way my friend told me about the restaurant was overly exaggerated. Anyway, it was a place suitable for family dine-in. To me, I might not be coming back again.

I became Chendol fan, don’t know since when. I think my craze started when I tasted a very yummy one in Melaka. Had a great passion towards dessert, I don’t care it was fattening or unhealthy.

The pouring of Gula Melaka was not enough, fragrance of Coconut was too weak. The whole bowl was diluted, tasteless and disappointed. To be frank, I felt that I was wasting my calories on it which below my expectation. $2.80 for Chendol, it was expensive and not worth it.

Never notice this stall before, although it was not the first I came this coffee shop. I was going to try it out today, patiently waiting for my turn. The boss cooked one bowl by one bowl, the preparation was quite slow.

Handmade Noodle

Disappointing from first bite, the noodles were extremely soggy and almost stacked together. Soup was sticky and salty, not my type. Ikan Billis was hard too. Cost at $2.80, it was common coffee shop price yet it was not nice.

Trying out one of the signature dish of the stall, it was disappointing this round. Maybe my expectation towards their food was too high since it was well-known in town. I rembered that other food I quite satisfied but not for Hor Fun.
Dumplings Hor Fun

Dumplings Hor Fun

I order dried version, Char Siew on top and dumplings in soup. Unfortunately, it was too oily. The gravy was sticky and Hor Fun was mushy. Soy sauce was too dark and chilli paste was not enough, it had no much taste except salty. Of course the portion was okay, just that I not fancy about this Hor Fun so I was not able to finish the whole bowl. Price was $3.30 for mine.
